Jagex is a company, and it took a huge hit on bots unsubscribing. With dicing gone + no bots, im fine with this update. They're renewing their revenue. Deal with it, it's a business decision, and its not the end of the world.
Trade limit set for new players, ouch... But I guess that helps stop RWT by blocking them trading more than 25K again not good for new players, I guess after removing HS and adding a trade limit to new players, runescape may no longer be No.1 f2p game.
Getting rid of dicers wasnt a step forward, it was a pointless move and if anything was a step back, the more this game protects the babies who get scammed the more of a childrens game it becomes, the more of a childrens game it becomes the less people will start to play, i think Runescape is already in a decline now and baby updates wont help, so if your complain about things like dicing then dont complain when they hit you with money making schemes like this one. You cant have it both ways.

I like the idea of having members split from F2P in the hiscores. They should never be together, members have many different ways of training compared to F2P.

Been a subscriber for so long. That video about bots was amazing. I really liked your old videos and when you ranted about Jagex's fails and how they didn't do anything about bots...but now you're going too far and you're trying to find everything possible to rant about. It's very fair. If they really want their name on the hiscores then they should just pay (I know some people can't pay but just wait a few years). After bots (&dicers) were gone, thousands of players obviously quit after they couldn't do what they loved the most (botting, dicing, etc.) and now they are F2P. It's not fair to P2P players who are still playing and actually WORKING hard on their accounts but they have a bad rank just because people who quit (and have botted skills)are ahead of them.
Well F2P is free, why should they get that: they don't pay for it. It's like going to a bar, sitting on a table but not ordering anything. Same thing.
I think that they could leave High Scores how they are, but add this new feature. They could also add like and XP gained this week, or month, so we could see who some of the hardcore skillers are.
@MrAesculapious Free players finance the game because of the ads, the ads essentially pay for the free game. If there are less free players, then the ads are worth less. Price of ads depend on how many people are viewing them.

If they do do it they should atleast put you back where you were on the hiscores when you subscribe again. E.G. If rank 5 Herblore unsubscribed then rank 6 would get rank 5 spot etc but when rank 5 herblore subscribes again he will be put bakc to where he was and all the others will be pushed back

There are a LOT of competitive F2Pers. Plus, you don't get the point of this thread. It's not only about the F2Pers. Former and very loyal members who have contributed a lot of things to the community will lose their ranks and proof of hard work simply by unsubscribing for a month or so.

I disagree, your hard work will reappear should you ever decide to resubscribe. The only members who suffer are those with 200m in skills, because it their subscriptions lapses and then they resubscribe, they'll be put at the end of the 200m ranks.

You have to agree that Jagex are doing something about the game and community such as removal of Bots and Dicing (Gambling) however as shown in this video and on the game itself, they don't give much to F2P as it is - never mind taking one of the few things that may inspire the F2P Players to continue & possibly think of a subscription. They should be giving to the Free to Play community not taking from it. However they had a somewhat valid point in there being inactive players on the hiscores.
@Jerbod2 Indeed they do deserve more however if giving members more means that F2P Players lose something, I believe that's wrong - this month has had a lot for P2P members, such as the Dominion Tower, Double Loot etc. Taking away a feature such as hiscores for the F2P players must give them the sense that they're being forced to pay to be 'recognized' for their efforts. Jagex has done a lot this month and I'm glad they've done what they have but I think the P2P Hiscores only is too restricting.
I don't mind a change to highscores, but I don't think it's being done fairly. I believe there should be "requirements" you can meet to stay on the highscores permanently even if you go f2p.
I understand how high scores make the game fun for some people. It use to be the thing that motivated me to play, because I had to get my stats higher than my friend. If it wasn't for high scores I wouldn't have leveled much of my skills. I don't worry too much about high scores anymore, I've become a casual gamer, I am on my own pace. If high scores were unavailable years ago, I probably wouldn't have gotten addicted to the game in the 1st place. So I think its a good idea to keep them for F2P.
@TheRucklePuckle earlier today they made the dice bags so you cant roll them and this destoryed dicing but ppl are finding alternatives like rubbing a magic skullball
f2p is a demo of the game they are selling. its fair. im paying £5 a month, and dont want 500,000 inactive account pushing me lower down the highscores. this is one of the most efficient updates.

Jagex has done a lot this month and I'm glad they've done what they have but I think the P2P Hiscores only is too restricting.

I don't mind a change to highscores, but I don't think it's being done fairly. I believe there should be "requirements" you can meet to stay on the highscores permanently even if you go f2p.

I understand how high scores make the game fun for some people. It use to be the thing that motivated me to play, because I had to get my stats higher than my friend. If it wasn't for high scores I wouldn't have leveled much of my skills. I don't worry too much about high scores anymore, I've become a casual gamer, I am on my own pace. If high scores were unavailable years ago, I probably wouldn't have gotten addicted to the game in the 1st place. So I think its a good idea to keep them for F2P.

f2p is a demo of the game they are selling. its fair. im paying £5 a month, and dont want 500,000 inactive account pushing me lower down the highscores. this is one of the most efficient updates.
