You can probably use a a midi cable to hook the SB up to a computer.., but I haven't gone too deep into using the SB with a computer. I know many people do use the SB with their software.., but they typically sample the SB's patterns as audio then BPM using the software ect.
You can hook up the SB with midi but only to a controller like a keyboard, so instead of using the pads on the drum machine, you just use the keys on the keyboard to play all the sounds. You can only hook up the SB with audio cables to record it to the computer
Thanks! I do the same thing. Every so often I do a factory reset and start from scratch. That IMO forces you to find more creative ways to squeezed the most out of something like the SB.
I haven't heard anything about Zoom not making these anymore. They're in stock everywhere in the USA and retailers are still ordering them. Yes.., the instruments (such as the bass and synth patches) aren't top notch..., but the drum samples are quite good.
The Streetboxx is a HUGE seller in the USA. The Streetboxx is Zoom's biggest selling drum (in their history). Their nubmers on this unit are large across the globe. I'd check to see where that guy got his info. They may have just stopped carrying it at that store. Beat Kangz is coming out with their own drum machine very soon (makes the SB-246 look like child's play). It's rumored Zoom is in on that one too (or at least building it for them).
Noooooo., it's not supposed to out-price the big names. This unit is supposed to under-price them! Early reports were saying it's going to be priced under the competition.
Yes! It truely does :) I didn't even edit or tweek a kit for these patterns either. I just used ONE preset kit! It's an awesome beat machine.., especially if you don't have the green for the higher end gear.
Man.., I haven't heard anything about the "Beat Thang" for some time now. I hope plans are still on for its production. If the price is right and they build it well with a stable OS.., I'll buy one.
perhaps they spent all the development money on that fancy video of people punching things :). i hope it's going along fine as well, it's almost a dream machine, but the sequencer might be a deal breaker for some, who knows how it will compare to the Mpc
This is cool check my beats out

WOW! That's a long back-order!!!! It's a very popular drum machine for sure :) I love mine and use it all the time.

Oak, i missed to buy it , unemployment grows in germany^^
The instruments suck a little bit, but its drumsamples are very nice, perhaps the best for that price....
It is not about the back-order, Zoom just doesn´t build them anymore.

The guy from Music-Store Cologne told me so.
It is definitely Europes biggest stock for instruments and producing, so I think it´s true.
Perhaps the Streetbox just flopped a little bit in USA?

Yeah, i saw that, very funny^^
The Beat Thang has very nice specs, but I think, it could be too expensive to compete with the big names.
