You're likely to fall back doing that. I've used crutches a lot, and I'm back on them now because I dislocated my knee for the 6th time yesterday. Use a rail as one of the crutches and put the other one over your shoulder. If there is no rail, use your bottom, good leg and arms to pull yourself up step to step and have a chair nearby to pull yourself up onto when you have finished :)

Thank you for the tutorial!!! I tried putting the crutches ahead first but the stair step was too high so I couldn't get upstairs. - -"
