To rankin09. 119 Serbs killed regrettable that they were killed by UN but it was not against the laws, U.N. forces have under existing laws. A mandate. Which gives law to defend themselves. So you do not shoot at U.N. So they do not shoot at you. (The Danish Leo 1-A5, on a rescue mission, was shot at with RPG, etc. from several directions), but as history has shown that a Serb can only hit the target at 3 meters when the target is bound behind.

is this the only time main battle tanks have been used in a Peacekeeping mission with a UN scheme? I have never seen tanks utilized on a UN mission before... thought this was a Canadian unit at first.
ther have not been many danish tanks in un operation after a danish colonel (lars r møller) started the operation ( hooligan slapping) were he responded a swedih opservation post emgergency call by killing as many serbians as posible in the town they were protecting, the funny thing is that they did hit the local serbian amunation depot which made a huge explosion were most of the serbian died . that was the first time ever the leopard a1 was in real battle.
A lovely tank... I served on it as gunner/loader on my mandatory service in the german army in one of the last 3 battalions which have been depleted now.
So,those are Danish tanks.Were they sent to Bosnia beacos of the war in 1992 or something else ?

These tanks killed according to some sources up to 150 Serbs in a little "don't fuck with the Danish Vikings-demonstration". Tuzla 29th April 1994.

Not A5, it is A3 or A4 : totally new turret. A5 is A1turret upgrade

They knocked out a huge Serb amodepot - it is believed that about 200 soldiers weere killed on the occasion.
