  • 6 is too many for a 10 gallon. There isn't anywhere for them to go to get away from each other. I would take the two most aggressive ones out.

  • I just started a sorority tank this past Thursday, and tonight they are really starting to chase each other around and there have been so scale scrapes and nipping. I am hesitant to take the most aggressive female out..what do you think I should do? I have 6 females in a 10 gallon.

  • @BettaBobW They will fight until they figure out who the boss is. I have had best luck with four or more. They are kind of like African Cichlids in that you can reduce aggression by not allowing them to establish territories.

  • Could be a a 20gal long tank. Anyway, I just got 3 females that I want to put into my new female tank. I cupped them and let them get used to each other before letting them lose. They fought really hard and were locking lips. I separated one into a cup again. Is this something that just needs to happen in order for them to live with each other?

  • More like a 55gallon tank.

  • Awesome tank and set up.

  • that is not 20

  • @touyang12 it could be 20 long.
