I have fond memories of this one. Probably because it reminds me of the first last day of school I'd have with friends; or would remind me, some weeks after the tape was released. The VHS itself was released on Wednesday, April 24, 1996.
Most animated films back then were drawn in fullscreen and intended to be shown in fullscreen where possible. However, some movie theaters were incapable of showing fullscreen movies, so most animated films from then, including The Aristocats, had some "extra" animation on the top and bottom so that even with a cropped widescreen image, you wouldn't miss too much important stuff.
I had the VHS copy of The Aristocats but not anymore but I remember the tape went bad so it either got lost or it was thrown out but now I have the film on DVD :)
yep the days there was no such thing as blu-ray and DVD's were just coming out so you had to watch like 10 previews before the actual movie began, yep the good old days
AT 1:05 I would of done that commercial for free if it meant getting to walk with Mickey Mouse to the Magic Kingdom! I'm Mickey Mouse's #1 FAN eventhough I'm a guy!

I'm not sure about the disclaimer at 7:07. I thought The Aristocats was MADE in fullscreen, but INTENDED to be in widescreen.

I loved rewinding the Hunchback of Notre Dame preview. I love the Aristocrats. Everything was so good back in the 90s.
