I tried the e-flite CX without the tail and it wagged really badly. The tail gives a little bit of inertia that helps to cancel out quite a bit of yaw twitching.
Looks like it has much better response but it's hard to tell exactly what you're doing with it since theres no body and a stationary camera. I noticed the wind picking up toward the end of the vid how does it do in light breeze now? Improved? I'm also curious about how much extra weight it adds.
Nice idea, my concern is the added weight and I noticed in flight it rocks back and forth alot?..not so stable? How will it fly with a fuselage on it too??

Does it have an electronic flybar(stabilization system) or is it completely flybarless?

do the dual blades spin in opposite directions. if so, does that mean this could work without a tail?

what reason for install flybarless on a lama v4?. It hasnt 3D capabilities, so waste of time...
darkjaric 2 years ago
flybarless is not only for 3D. If the flybar is removed, you remove that restriction of giving this coaxial a more agile flight.

Ah hell, I've gone and bought a pair of rate gyros now. I'll show and tell when I've got it working. Thanks for the proof-of-concept!

these are parts from different helis. google the flybarless lama v4 for details.

im feeling the heli and also the music nice 1 dude

it is very stable, the back and forth movement are actually the cyclics induced by the pilot to show the actual response.

parts came from spare parts of other helis particularly the HB CP2.

So this modification obviously eliminates "Blade Clash", Is this a kit you can buy? Or is it all homemade? Thanks
