Lol seeing all the movie posters of defferent nationalities makes me wonder.. Why have i never seen this movie before a year a go on t.v This was an epic movie and awesome actors and characters. Its like one of those movies that slips under the radar and only when it shows up on tv one late night just as you about to turn off the tele. imagine this movie was like Doom, Avatar, Resident Evil. Basicly any awesome movie you ever seen but never did see till it came on tv. There could be more like it

@NathanSaga I had the strange feeling reading ur comment of "Perfectly said". This movie is NOTHING like the matrix, not because you see two guys dressed on suit and with their hair combed it means "OOOOH MATRIX RIPOFF".

Matrix is one hell of a movie but this one doesnt stay behind, the plot is so deep and emotional, imagine this movie being famous right now it is freaking epic, avatar sucked in comparison and i dare to tell you that. I used to know this movie by memory lol.

@olaokolaok Well you got that right, well it is a movie based on emotion and "Feeling", hense the name Equilibrium. The action and fighting is more like a matrix, personaly idk. I dont judge movies, I watch em. Epic movies have their pulls, its a shame this one was left unnoticed. You know what, they should put it on the big screen again, it deserves that much.

Problem this film had is that it came out after the matrix unfortunately .. although both of them sit at my number 1 spot as i can never decide which 1 i like more (not including the 2nd and 3rd matrix films just the 1st 1)

Well MATE, I'm in the media and have been for over 26 years and have worked with all the top TV news networks and I'm building my own news network right now. Go do some research because, everything I told you has actually been in the main stream media here in America and there are many video clips on YT also.

The reason this movie didn't do better is because, it's based on too much truth. We're now moving into a Totalitarian Collectivist Police-State on a global level.

Like the Matrix, Eyes Wide Shut, The Forgotten, the first Rollerball movie made in the 70's, this film wakes-up too many people from the false paradigm control-grid.

The ruling global elite don't like these films to be too well known. They want you braindead and clueless as to who actually controls your reality.

Dude this movie is really awesome too bad it didn't make enough success, and it was my first DVD movie (I got really excited because it had things like extras and stuff, I mean for a guy that just watched movies with low quality on a old VHS system it was really awesome to see this one in a amazing definition and everything else, I love movies :D).

Not wanting to relate "Matrix" to "Equilibrium" but from a certain point of view, both movies tend to transmit the same message to the people. Equilibrium is just a bit more blunt and realistic. Truly, it deserved a much better success than the one it had, a very good movie IMO.

I'll never get why this movie did so poorly. I guess it just wasn't advertised enough and maybe people assumed it was just trying to copy the matrix, but even then you'd think it'd have roped the generic action crowd in. It's a real conundrum, I mean everyone's got opinions so I get not everyone LOVING it but it'd be really difficult not to like the movie...

The only problem with this movie is that it had too much talking and not enough action. When I was watching it, it felt like they were too preoccupied with the philosophical part that they didn't have enough room for action. The action sequences in the movie already were excellent, but if they were a little longer and a little more quantiful, this film would have had a much better success.
