  • Thanks for the help.

  • 'PHOTTOX '???

  • It has been a really good brand for me and saved me a lot of money.

  • ahaha i think he meant its said as "PHOTTIX" not "PHOTTOX" cus its spelt "PHOTTIX"

  • Dude, this video's mint!

I just purchased the same grip off eBay for £35 on bid, so like $60?

    Bargain!

Just awaiting its arrival now, but cheers for the review; it really helped :)

I've bought it for my EOS 20D, and apparently it fits that!

    let's hope it does :P

    Cheers man!

  • I really love my grip. I hope you have the same luck with your as I do. Let me know how it goes. Keep watching my other video's and tell a friend.

  • Are you still happy with this grip? Would you still recommend it? And how well have the batteries held up so far?

    Thanks, Jon.

  • Everything has held up really well!! I have not had one problem with this grip at all. To bad the rest of my life couldn't be as problem free, ha-ha. But the batteries and everything has been great. Don't regret the purchase at all. Matter of fact I am looking into buying something else from these same people.

  • how much??

    whar to bau online?

    thank you

  • I payed about $1100 but the price has gone down since. I assume your other question was where to buy it online?. Well you could buy it from Amazon, or Beach Camera, or B&H photo or another online store you feel is safe. I got mine from Costco in the States.

  • hello. nice review. how sturdy is the grip? and how about the shutter release? i heard that on some "off-brand" camera grips the shutter release is sloppy, making it hard to tell when it is halfway or all the way down.

    thank you!!

    -Nick

(i hope i haven't left a ton of comments, my computer keeps freezing up)

  • nice. "i dont know what language this is" cracked me up. you sold me on it. was thinking about a different brand on ebay, but this one was the same price and with the assurance of your reviews, ill definitely get this one. i am, however, quite disappointed to see a budwieser screen saver after seeing all of your "good beer" reviews. ;)

    good work fellah

  • haha, I am glad you decided to get a battery grip. This one has helped me a lot. I have taken tons of images with it and still no problems. Thanks for watching and tell a friend.

  • Thanks jj. Great job on the whole review. It sold me. Tip for future buyers. I used same ebay seller "etefore" aka Hong Kong Supplies. Check their "List" & search BP-40D. They sell to British market for 42.00 GBP (converts to $66.42 USD)w/two batteries & free ship! 8 days ship from purchase to door step. Same wonky, bent in half, bubblewrapped, envelope packing. It did add heft to 40D so I use Canon E1 handstrap & it feels more secure for me. Ebay, $2.00 + $10.00 shipping.

  • Great input!! I really appreciate the feedback and it's really good to hear you had a good experience as well!! Also a great tip!

  • Hi jj,

Mine's here since last week. No problem so far.

One thing I notice is the battery discharges easily.

    Do you notice that too?

  • Hey glad to see you got one too. No the batteries that came with it work the same for me as the canon while in use. But if they are just sitting in my bag for a day or two then yes they do loose their charge pretty quick.

  • thanks jj, I'll be waiting, while also waiting for delivery! I just bit the bullet!

  • oh cool can't wait to see how it worked out for you.

  • Some say you can't get 6.5fps with AI Servo using this grip. Can you please try it and post yout findings if you have time...Thanks

  • I sure will. Get me a few days if you don't mind and I will post a short video. But the grip is still going great!! Just shot a bike show this weekend with it and I have the hot air balloon festival in a few days when those extra batteries should come in handy.

  • I finally got that video posted. Hope it helps.
