i've only played the first bioshock!great game! i don't know why but i've stopped playing the second one like in the middle of the game,it got boring! seemed like the first one!
@CiofiPlay It's very similar to the first, and that's its strength as well as its weakness. It can easily be compared despite the strong changes that were made to make it a more refined game.
I tried to play this on PC but I hate hovering over a key board to play games (unless it's a point and click mouse game). But watching you play tempts me to get it on Xbox 360 and giving it another whirl.
Btw are you going to be getting Elder Scrolls Skyrim when it comes out next month?
Yes, Vincent Price had a wonderful sense of altruism, throughout all humanity. Unfortunately he didn't foresee (and lucky for him) the people who just refuse to associate themselves with the culture they've moved into. Maybe it's time I've move on to a different place. If those that don't respect what is around them are in majorum, maybe I should move on....In the game, is everyone else actually evil ? I've noticed you're shooting/killing all those encountered. Just wondering for my own lore...
@23penguins32 While Dr. Steinman does sound lik (and partially resemble) Vincent Price, I doubt that Price was so dangerously insane. I understand Price was a true gent.
But to where would you move? If you take Rapture as an example, once you make the commitment to go down there, you're down there for life. The outside world cannot be allowed to know of the magnificent city beneath the waves.
I think evil is a very subjective term in this game. There are those who would rather talk than (cont.)
@clackclickbang See my previous comment about the row... It's great watching this not knowing anything about the game, other than knowing simply of it. Yes, Mr. Price was indeed priceless. A gentleman and a scholar truly. A lot like Christopher Lee in that respect. And a lot of respect for the both of 'em.
Losing humanity is a very current metaphor. I'll be interested to see that whilst watching.
@23penguins32 When Christopher Lee finally dies it will be a very very sad day. He's one of these immortals, like Michael Caine. I was very upset when Pete Postlethwaite died recently.
I suppose you could call it humanity. Maybe it's just morality. If you splice your genes so that you become *more* than human, presumably you would start thinking less and less like a human is supposed to.
@23penguins32 (cont.) fight at points and even those who wish to help you. Consider that for nearly a decade the entire city has been in a state of civil war. The only way to one-up your enemy is to be better than him. The only way to do this is through altering your genetics so that you're *more* than simply a human with a gun. You lose your humanity increasingly as you splice up more. The splicers we see now are at the lowest end of the sanity spectrum and are practically all homicidal.
@Komeister Yep. Some hacks are more difficult than others and if the fluid runs into a dead end, a fuse or a battery the character gets shocked or reduced to barely any health.
Another great installment. Of course, when we really master genetic engineering, it will be like mastering the technology of fire, the creation of a very powerful tool, which can be abused, but overall a good development. There are some crazy people who want to burn down homes and turn people into crispy critters, but I am thankful that some hominid ancestor learned that skill.
@clackclickbang Yes, I would be open to having my genetics altered. Let's say someone creates a way to prevent all diseases. I have a chance to be immune from cold, never worry about a cavity in my teeth, my internal organ functioning properly forever. I probably would not be the first human volunteer, but after enough studies in peer reviewed journals determined all was kosher, sure I would. Yeah, shooting lightning bolts from my hands would be cool, but not necessary. I wish that could happen.
@mollytherealdeal You make some damn good points there. That would be rather fantastic, but then leads to the inevitable over-population problems.. Or does it? If everyone is healthy all of the time we have so much more space and less expense on hospitals and whatnot. Interesting.
I never knew complicated security drones and catalogued sales machines could be hacked by plumbing. Now my degree in electronics angineering seems meaningless!
Really this feels like a fun adventure I think, please keep making more.Maybe it is said so, but why are Splicers alway trying to kill? Are they crazy? But they seem to talk normal and think ideas to get you! Sorry if this questions seem dumb..T_T
@MyEunah The splicers have changed their genetic make up by essentially 'splicing' their genes with ADAM. ADAM will be revealed further into the game, but ultimately the effect of repeatedly warping your human nature is that you become less than human. They certainly have some human needs and in some ways they have their former intelligence, but they're driven practically psychotic.
