  • I worked this cruise and we measured waves of 29 feet in the ocean lab on board. It was rough enough to close all access to the decks outside, but not enough to cause major problems. We did get back to port about 6 hours late.

  • Even the bridge on that ship isn't 175 feet above the water and you're below that. Misleading descriptions always get a thumbs down.

  • Wow I couldn't imagine trying to tread that water probably wouldn't last long I know how tiring it is being in waves.

  • thank you for sharing so nice..

  • @SuperAnimalGuy LOL!

  • Been on lots of cruises, those are nothing like 40 waves? I would say a fair swell, maybe 16ft. 40 foot waves would be coming over the promenade deck, they are not even anything like close.

I have seen the sea 3 times on cruises with real 40 ft waves and believe me the sea looked nothing like that... This looks like an everyday passage on the Bay of Biscay.

  • For the best movies of 2010 i use fufast.Jcom cross out the [J]

  • I was on the Freedom of the Seas during a storm.. It was a BLAST!!!

  • This ship was very good about handeling waves when i went on the waves were larger..

  • i would love to go through a storm like that....

  • @WamsWarrior been there dun that on sovereign

  • @CruisinBay2013 i bet it was fun...=]

  • @WamsWarrior i had so much fun on sovereign!! when sovereign went up on the sea and crashed back down me and my bro went walkin in the atrium and tried to go to the boat deck and it was to windy and bad winds and just to fun!! and my mom said somethin about what my grandad did on the triumph he thought the ship was movin when they was in port he must been drunk haha xD

  • @WamsWarrior we prob was in a hurricane on my 1st cruise man!!! it was bad but it was so fun!!! sovereign of the seas went ridin them waves!! SURFS UP SOVEREIGN!! XD

  • @CruisinBay2013 maybe.....

  • @WamsWarrior it looked like a hurricane xD

  • y dont you not tell me im stupid when your the one putting stupid videos up, of somthing its not.

  • @mowingman95 Guess you've never been on a shit this big.

  • FIrst of all learn to read, it says the videos are taken from the 8th deck which are 80 feet from the water line. Secondly I hold a Masters 100 ton license Near Coastal Captains License so learn somthing prior to making dumb comments. The ship during the trip had been in 10 meter seas, At times it had experienced 40 foot rougue waves one of which smashed all the interior glass in the ship.. It says nothing about 80 foot waves. Again learn to read prior to making stupid comments

  • lol

  • i known what boat is that :D

Irish Ferries i travel with it 5 times nothing happend :D

  • the last two waves was MAYBE 15ft.

  • I believe 40 ft. I was on the Explorer of the Seas in May 2001. There was an East coast storm during the time we were at sea and by the time the swells reach us there were 20 ft and they were nowhere near as big as these. The EOTS is HUGE. The Oasis is currently docked in my backyard and it's even bigger, but that's beside the point.

  • i was on that same cruise during the storm - I was kinda scared at a few moments, but other than that, the waves actually helped me go to sleep!

  • thants nothing carnival triumph that i was on a 85 foot wave hit the side of the ship almost capsised it

  • try it in a 30 ft sailboat----wimps ja

  • exactly. when youre up on the 14th floor of a building, 40 foot tall stuff is deceivingly small, plus the swells have a wavelength of at least 200-300 feet, which makes them seem unremarkable.

That must have been fun crashing through those waves like that!

  • Where are the 40ft waves?

  • Those swells you see are 40 ft waves, look at the additional videos i posted which will show the extensive damage to the interior of ship and the people being knocked about. You need to remember, in case you have never been on a cruise ship that the video i took in that image is over 175 feet above the water line. The ship is 14 stories and has a height of 214 feet above the water.

  • @KerriBella26M first you say 30 feet, now it's 40. Yea OK. DISLIKE
