semplicemente splendida.. peccato che ora ci troviamo "cantanti" come avril lavigne, emma marrone... se si potesse tornare alla musica sana degli anni '30, '40, '50...
MUCH more personal version than the usual full orchestral/chorus recording...absolute heartbreak in her voice. She even changes the lyric to 'mes problemes' (instead of 'les'). What a character.
Having viewed this video over 100 times, I cannot believe that I never left a comment. This is, by far, the best video of Piaf singing HYMNE À L'AMOUR because it tells, in pictures, the story of a great love. I am old enough to have seen Cerdan's championship fights and, having listened to Piaf since childhood, I am ever so greatful to Didoupiaf for this and so many other wonderful videos. Rest In Peace Dear Edith, you are with Minako who sang this, in tribute, exactly as you did ...michael
This couldn't have been recorded in 1950, her voice sounds much more mature here than it did then. My guess is Olympia 1958, the song was on the program there.
didioupiaf: What a moving tribute to Piaf & esp. her one great love, Marcel Cerdan, killed in a plane crash on his way to see this greatest chanteuse *ever*!
Can't thank U enuf for the amazing photos of this equally amazing women & Cerdan!
I simply have to come back to ur site over & over while reading David Bret's emotional biography of Piaf.

did she ever sing "la vie en rose" at her olympia concerts in the late 50s/early 60s. i want to hear it sung in her more weary matured voice.
