yeah but when you think about it, it's amazing when you have so much memory to work with versus 32-bit....expecially with the new games coming out or arma 2 which are supposed to use most of your memory on a 6gb ddr3 configuration.

All windows 32bit systems support up to 4GB of TOTAL RAM, which means RAM + Video card RAM. So you will get around 3-3.5 GB

yes it does as frames are better from the start say like direct x10 is like the smoothness of directx 9 lol on xp windows 7 so far is way ahead of vista and xp even though its in the beta stages also direct x 11 is coming and drivers are more compatible now that other companies are getting the drivers for the big launch also sowfare works good but i cant speak for every1

basically it comes down to what you are using like if u do a lot of video editing and so forth more ram takes a load off the cpu ect and of course a good cpu help in your quality,as for games and small apps it makes a 100% difference,before i had the 8 gig on vista i used 2 gig it did wat i wanted but it was hell of a slow process with duel cpu and 2 gig now i have no proplems and wether ppl say its piontless well there missing out,renders apps loads quicker get extra ram u see report :0)

obiviously its the hardware that isnt up to the job after diong all the things suggested,get intel cpu and asus mobo and decient supply psu branded possible a modular save some power a good ventilated case and some mxx2 ram 2 gig+ and a graphics card in the 200 series if u can afford 1 if not get the 9 series nivida hope this helps u

your videocard is lame, its dx9 card. win 7 uses dx10.1 or dx10.0 card. Get a new videocard and some decent ram. And MAYBE A quadcore cpu or a high end dualcore

i have no worries or problems in vista have good hardware ect-but to me windows 7 is far better and that sonly a beta so yes the fps and performance i get is better,i can speak highly of the beta for wat have used it from day 1 so i will be getting it-on a personally issue the 64bit version on vista was a let down when it came to online games, so get the 32-bit u wont be let down,i gonna put up crysis warhed look out for it in the next day or 2 all maxed,hope i convinced u(subscribe) u see it

John did you get any problems with games when you changed the resolution from your monitors max res down. Did it keep monitor at max res and put game in box the size of res u selected and everything else black? Because it does with cod4, crysis and all other games. Must be bug they need to fix i have reported it in feedback as broken so they will most proberly read it and fix it.

resolution was fine on this game,only thing is that most gamescouldnt give me the full 19200x1200,yeah cod 4 did the same black out at max, so wat i did was go to the installer,then properties,then run it under compatibilty on vista then it worked great, of course had to do the re-install of the game lol,if u run most games under this method they all work i even found they run better than vista,its only beta when the full OS is released it will be sorted with drivers and duel displays

If you already have another operating system installed will it ask you which operating system you want to run when you start up the computer.
