that would be amazing, also if you find the original floppy there are people in the BBC community that i am part of that could turn them into disc images for use under an emulator for you. Elsewhere on this comment collection is my email address
@aferenbach: I still have my collection of 5.25" floppies but the power supply on my Beeb died about 15 years ago, so I have no easy way of getting it back. If I remember correctly, and we're talking about something I did over 20 years ago, the hack was relatively simple so it might be quicker to recreate. Can't promise anything, but I'll fire up an emulator and have a peek.
Wow, I spent more time playing this game than any other on the Beeb. The physics were revolutionary for its day. I remember hacking it so I could pick up any of the game objects and put them in my inventory. Certainly made moving large/heavy objects around a lot easier! Robots too could be tucked away in the backpack and then disposed of somewhere out of the way.
@andy151270 - wow, I don't suppose you still have that hacked version still around somewhere? or could you recreate it? that sounds like a ton of fun - as well as making a jaw dropping youtube video.
where can I d/l the menu system and the games from please.... I've seen it as an MMC hard drive on a real BBC but want to run the menu and all the games on my mame cabinet. any help will be greatly appreciated and rewarded.
Wow, great video. I remember playing this game like it was yesterday. All the sounds etc brought back so many memories. Brilliant game, never managed to get very far in it though haha.
remaking or reimagining is a dicey one these days - it would be really sad to see the game turned into yet another first person "3d for 3d's sake" game. Even the version on Amiga and ST didn't quite have the same impact. I seem to remember there was someone working on a modern tribute (while remaining faithful to the original style) though don't remember what became of it. I think it was on "retroremakes" website.
There was scarcely a more satisfying feeling than blowing that bird up with a handy grenade or two

That God-damned bird on the surface - that thing was my arch-nemesis as a child.

The sound is way out of sync.

my apologies, it was recorded on a PC that was having problems recording from within the emulator. Check out my other BBC vids for better sound sync

This game desperately needs a faithful 21st Century reimagining.

@zionravescene
I believe that there's a freeware game called 'Nameless' that plays the same way.
If you can't find or access exile(dot)ovide(dot)net, check the 'Platform Games' section at caiman(dot)us.
I hope you find the game enjoyable.

@ChainsawGenie thanks. It's a pretty neat successor to Exile - just as difficult as the original was, too.

I loved this game so much. Hands down the best game for BBC. Gotta have that sideways RAM tho..

This game was rock solid to complete. Took me the best part of ten years, on and off through summer holidays, to finally crack it...

Genius game! A real classic on the old computer systems.
