There is another group that blends old-world songs with modern beats called eRa, but they do more of a rock makeover than a techno. Both I think are exceptional.
@ValterBlackDemon I published here the original latin lyrics and their english translation. This is a medioeval song extract from the Monserrat "red book" (finished nearly in 1399) page 26 verso. Nevertheless, german electrogothic group Qntal used its own melody. It is very interesting to compare both versions, latin medioeval original to Qntal's one.
Scribere proposui de contemptu mundano ut degentes seculi non mulcentur in vano iam est hora surgere a sompno mortis pravo a sompno mortis pravo Vita brevis breviter in brevi finietur mors venit velociter quae neminem veretur omnia mors perimit et nulli miseretur et nulli miseretur. Ad mortem festinamus peccare desistamus peccare desistamus.
Ni conversus fueris et sicut puer factus et vitam mutaveris in meliores actus intrare non poteris regnum Dei beatus regnum Dei beatus. Tuba cum sonuerit dies crit extrema et iudex advenerit vocabit sempiterna electos in patria prescitos ad inferna prescitos ad inferna Ad mortem festinamus peccare desistamus peccare desistamus.
I want to write of the evil In the lest the time should pass unused The time has come to awake In the face of death, In the face of death. The short life soon will end, Death comes faster than you would believe. It destroys everything And has no mercy, And has no mercy. We rush into death, Don't want to trespass any more, Don't want to trespass any more.
If you don't turn back and become as pure as a child And you don't change your life, You won't go into, as a happy one, The Kingdom of God, The Kingdom of God. When the trump resounds, Judgement Day has come. The judge calls the chosen to his Kingdom But the damned to hell, But the damned to hell. We rush into death, Don't want to trespass any more, Don't want to trespass any more.
I do know is in Latin what i was mentioning is that it's awesome to do understand some of what they sing knowing that is such an old language and i never said it was sang in portuguese
@spookygothu This song is sung in Latin language and the text is from a medieval book called "Llibre Vermell" ( Red book in catalan language ) owned by the monks of Montserrat, a monastery near Barcelona, in Spain.
Funny how it's actually a Christian poem of repent.
