Theres nothing like picking up cool armour to make your guy look more badass. With a female character I wouldnt be motivated to do that cuz a girl doesnt look badass in armour. Plenty of people think female looks like the ultimate badass (obviously, you need to consider your own preconceptions, as it no doubt affects your perceptions). Regardless, not everyone's main concern is how 'cool' their character looks. Some people want a different option as opposed to the same old cliche of the sarcastic, macho space marine. And considering how males dominate the market, why do you care so much?

I loved the whole ME concept. I just don't care for male heroes. I'll pretty much play any rpg, as long as I get the option to form an all-female squad (Kotor for example). I'm not going to spend my free time watching a sausage-fest :p

@FangedBeauty Yeah, she's also in the first game. and yeah, technically you can have an all-female squad if you really want to...like you can choose to only bring the female gals with you around. but i mean, there's still gonna be the guys (like Garrus! who's super badass and awesome) on the ship and to recruit because you don't want to miss them, too. like, garrus is the only one that you can really shape his character and how he turns out because he really treasures shepard's advice.

@FangedBeauty heh, i happened to stumble upon me 2 in piratebay last year, and ever since have loved it =) ive learned to voice act brandons real voice (garrus), miranda, mordin and now, im making my own version of renegade femshep mixed to lucien lachance (oblivion). also once made a hybrid of tali to one stargate atlantis character. xD.. and if you call renegade femshep evil, then you havent faced an evil yet. shes a hero, and very efficient one. not one to waste time on the problems of few =)
No its actually a viable point. People that are attracted to violent people of the opposite sex have something known as Bonny and Clide syndrome. This is because Bonny was known to have this sexual orientation. Not every single response is a troll comment mate...

Her voice is appropriate for the character role she's playing and trying to portray. And she's pretty good at what she does. Part of the dullness is so it's easier for the character to go from renegade to paragon dialogue w/o sounding out of character. It takes effort to voice those transitions appropriate, and Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer have done a wonderful job in doing so.
@klocker4 Haha. I don't believe thinking is Conrad's forte. What he actually says, though, is "Don't you get it? You were a big jerk, but you saved the galaxy and showed other races that humans mattered… and then you died!" I simply edited it for humor. :)
Superior voice acting is superior. All the people who'd prefer to play as a dumbass baldie football player bloke are missing out on the best performance.
An a voice actress, she is better than Mark Meer. But for the renegade dialog i think Meer is more entertaining. I always find his delivery humorous. He's a stand up comedian I believe and it shows for the funny dialog but Hale is better for drama.
femshep is so much better than male shepard. she's way more convincing at both compassion and intimidation. male shepard sounds ridiculous when he's saying renegade dialogue options, lol.
I've never played Mass Effect before, although I'm playing with the idea. Are you able to choose between Fem Shepard and regular Shepard at the beginning of the game?
@EmmaJulieAislinn Yes. And I do definitely recommend Fem Shep. She's unique, convincing, and Jennifer Hale does a fine job of portraying a strong leader, whether she's compassionate and understanding or more like this video. I would suggest you play the first Mass Effect, however, as your character and your decisions are imported and carried over to ME2. There is a lot of character development and to truly appreciate it, ME1 is the way to go.
@EmmaJulieAislinn Yes can you, and you can changed her appearance too and as Idf8u said, I'd HIGHLY recommend you play the fem shepard. The voice acting is WAY better than the male shepard in my opinion.

@ZACKFAIR1205 I know but I didn't kill her even once because he is a "little" girl and I'm not ussually on Renegade, I mean My only Left mouse clicks are on Garrus's recruit (Mech head shot) and (Cathka electro shock) because It'll cost me grenade launcher grenades (lol) and Miranda's loyalty mission(The beggining)
nothing else. (And I completed the game over 10 times every time the same)

I loved the whole ME concept. I just don't care for male heroes. I'll pretty much play any rpg, as long as I get the option to form an all-female squad (Kotor for example). I'm not going to spend my free time watching a sausage-fest :p
btw...is the female shep also available in the first game? Is an all-female squad an option in ME ?

@FangedBeauty Yeah, she's also in the first game. and yeah, technically you can have an all-female squad if you really want to...like you can choose to only bring the female gals with you around. but i mean, there's still gonna be the guys (like Garrus! who's super badass and awesome) on the ship and to recruit because you don't want to miss them, too. like, garrus is the only one that you can really shape his character and how he turns out because he really treasures shepard's advice.

@FangedBeauty heh, i happened to stumble upon me 2 in piratebay last year, and ever since have loved it =) ive learned to voice act brandons real voice (garrus), miranda, mordin and now, im making my own version of renegade femshep mixed to lucien lachance (oblivion). also once made a hybrid of tali to one stargate atlantis character. xD.. and if you call renegade femshep evil, then you havent faced an evil yet. shes a hero, and very efficient one. not one to waste time on the problems of few =)

Her voice is appropriate for the character role she's playing and trying to portray. And she's pretty good at what she does. Part of the dullness is so it's easier for the character to go from renegade to paragon dialogue w/o sounding out of character. It takes effort to voice those transitions appropriate, and Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer have done a wonderful job in doing so.

An a voice actress, she is better than Mark Meer. But for the renegade dialog i think Meer is more entertaining. I always find his delivery humorous. He's a stand up comedian I believe and it shows for the funny dialog but Hale is better for drama.

I've never played Mass Effect before, although I'm playing with the idea. Are you able to choose between Fem Shepard and regular Shepard at the beginning of the game?

@EmmaJulieAislinn Yes. And I do definitely recommend Fem Shep. She's unique, convincing, and Jennifer Hale does a fine job of portraying a strong leader, whether she's compassionate and understanding or more like this video. I would suggest you play the first Mass Effect, however, as your character and your decisions are imported and carried over to ME2. There is a lot of character development and to truly appreciate it, ME1 is the way to go.
