Lived there for 6 years (2002 2008). My aunt was a social worker at Kaiser Permanente.. (right by the hickory pit). We moved there from Colorado.. It was her town.. she knew all the places, and lots of nice people. When my family moved from there back to colorado, about a month beforehand she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She's gone now, but I have a lot of memories with her, and walking around beautiful Walnut Creek. But I guess that's life, so love it, and live it.

@StingChameleonREMIX sorry bout your aunt. i too moved from colorado to nearby alamo, when it was still a bit of a sleepy cow town. as for the 'crik', i remember cruising south main looking for girls to talk to in high school. i recently ate at emil villa's hickory pit cuz my grandfather was in town. they make a mean milk shake.
