@rucker3 Depending on your set up yes it would be mono. But mono is much better then what the person who the video was intended for was doing. They where simply playing a set and recording it threw a mic next to a speaker or using the computer mic. Was trying to show him how to record directly to computer with just a $4 cable. :-) Sound cards are the way to go for true hi def quality.

@obeymf I prefer AVID M-BOX MINI for my living room recording setup. It has a built in mic preamp and is a very solid piece of kit for the price.

If you listen to the soundcloud recording I believe it comes out of both speakers, but yet it is in mono.

This is helpful? but would this just be recording in MONO not stereo?
I tried and sound only comes out of one ear phone.
