The only way being on bottom can be beneficial is if your fully going for submissions, all he did was pull high guard and that is it, no close triangles...nothing. Otherwise the guy on top has advantage. Just my two cents :) I would love to hear an argument.
To me it looked like the guy on bottom was running, and that cheap takedown attempt was just sad. However both competitors fought with heart and did a Good job. This was in the 145 advanced devision if anyone is wondering.
Very good match. Both competitors were very good. Reminds me of when Jeff Monson got robbed at the BJJ Worlds it looked exactly the same. Both times the guys on bottom never got close to submissions and never even attempted to sweep. Both times the guys on bottom won even though the score was 0-0 because of advantage (how is being on the bottom an advantage??).
if the ref awards pts, that's it. it doesn't matter what anyone watching says. what kind of sh*t is that?

That's messed up, musa was given 2 points by the ref and just because the gracies say no to the call he didn't get them. MUSA GOT ROBBED
