you're not a dick, you're just misinformed. most of these children do not have parents to supervise them and/or are not able to, this is wartime environment they are living in. It was a movie..the child is blind and is not playing in a mine field, the child doesn't know that its a minefield. And of course bombing still occurs, in fact it is the main method of attack everywhere in the world. Research any armed conflict.

i feel bad about the end when the girl, agrin i think, doesn't want the 2 or 3 yr old and ties him to a big rock. then, she thros the rock in a lake to let him drown. they even show him go in after the rock. =(

I also hate when she ties the littl kid to a tree in the mountains and she leaves him. he later says "Mommy!Where are you?!" (cause u kno he's blind) I cried at those 2 parts =(

#1 the point of the video isn't to have the viewer connected to each individual photo and/or know what has happened in each one. The point is an overarching message that war adversely affects children in a terrible way, and innocent children are dying and suffering as a result of war.

#2: The first photo is of a girl behind a fence, most likely a fence to a UN displacement camp where hundreds of thousands of children are forced to stay because theyre families are killed and/or their homes/villages are destroyed by rebel forces and foreign military. This photo might be posed for a magazine, but what it represents is something very real.

#3: The next picture you criticized is of a child soldier. This boy actually was a child soldier. they might have told him to pose that way, once again for an article on child soldiers, but it was to show the pain these children are forced to face. Sorry they couldn't get an action shot for you of him shooting another child or being drugged up.

What should piss you off is the number of innocent families and children that have their lives ruined or ended because of what usually turns out to be economic greed, ethnic prejudice, and the disregard for human life. Besides most of these photos being authentic and taken by professional photographers stationed in war zones, the other photos represent the children that are injured and what they must go through in a time of war.

you can google "human rights organizations" and I'm sure find ways to become involved. Amnesty International and Save the Children are both good ones. At a local level you can help fundraise for UN level orgs like UNICEF through the trick or treat program. Make some calls and emails, these orgs are always looking for help.
