Wonderful piece! This video actually made me buy a Guanzi and start learning to play! The more traditional pieces are also very fascinating, but this is of course more accessible to the Westerner's ear not accustomed to Chinese music. However, I am working myself into a better understanding of the traditional style as well. Thank you for uploading!
naturally. Even orchestras composed entirely of chinese instruments are inherently based off of western models. In traditional Chinese music, there is no such thing as an "orchestra". Hell, the classical western orchestra itself is no more than 200 years old.

his style is incredible...the soloist. I love the turns and the double tonguing on those ascending sequences..I really like this piece!
