It was partly Greman partly nonsense, but it was somethign like "What is that aweful smell? It stinks like a shit house. And so on...", and then it goes back to English.
Sort of, it's like pidgin german, roughly I'd translate it as 'What is that terrible smell? (pong being english slang for smell, with 'ge' in front to make it sound german) then 'It smells like a shithouse, etcetera'
From one of the greatest shows of the Python's BBC run: the Michael Ellis episode. And it's all about ants. And enormous department stores. And sperm whales.
As great as the romantic poets mashup is, Palin coming in as Queen Victoria does it for me. Note how the spanish subtitles disappear as Palin lapses into German. Why ever would they do that, I wonder?
Where'd this clip come from? Bolivia? (Wonderful storage jars there.)
You know, I too noticed those storage jars. Storage jars are really quite the most amazing pram. Storage jars in different shades of green results naturally from iron impurities in the sand when just the basic ingredients (sand, soda, & lime) are used. Some storage Jars have airtight bail & seal closures to hermetically seal out air and ants.
This was hilarious!

@vef444 Queen Victoria has a german origin. She was a member of Hannoverian dynasty, kings of Hannover and later kings of Great Britain (George I).

I'd like to ask one or two of you in the back not to soil the carpet. There is a restroom upstairs if you find the poems too exciting *boom* :D

I think Terry Jones plays a better Wordsworth than Eric, personally.

I'm in 8th grade and I just read the poem "Ozymandias" for the first time today in school, and I thought, "Yay, it's Monty Python!" LOL :D
