Yes it's a 917. On the grid the car nearest the pitwall is a Toyota 7, next to the blue, yellow & orange Nissan R382s, behind them are the Porsche and 3 more Toyota 7s.
At the beginning of the race, is that white car that takes 2nd place on the banking turn an early 917, before they went to the wedge-tail in 1970? They were supposed to be pretty exciting/scary rides before they fixed the aerodynamics of the car!

Modern F1 drivers would shit in their pants if they have to race in this kind of track...
Looks very dangerous, what makes it interesting. Tilke tracks are boring supermarket parking lots..

Nice clip. Pity about the dubbed on engine sounds, which don't even remotely correspond to the action.

Thats because when the road course was added on, there was a drop from the road course to the banked section.
The banking was built into the ground.
But still an amazing track.
