I saw this first Senna win in Portugal I was 11 yr. I grow watching Senna racing. I had a lot of friends that prefered in this epoch another brazilian driver since he had win until 85-86 (2 champ) however I always Senna also by the influence of my father. When Senna was out we stopped to see race. I understand the Senna death as something that immortalized him. Senna I miss you, the best moments of my childhood and the begin of my adult life was watching you.
@creatyve But the monstrous difference of aerodynamics between today's cars and the 80's cars is a major factor. It's much easier to drive in the rain today.
@LouieGee it depends, there are are so many variable these days that driving in the rain can be just as difficult due to the monstrous acceleration and deceleration as well as the lack of ground effect that they had back in the golden era
@creatyve Yeah but there is no comparison between a turbo car and an aspirated when it comes to the difficulties of holding a car in the wet due to the acceleration. Besides, engines were way more powerful back then, not only in the turbo era... and yes, brakes are more powerful nowadays, but that ain't a difficulty to skilled drivers.
O olé que ele dá no Schumacher logo na primeira curva é uma das coisas mais lindas que já vi na F1. Provavelmente até hoje o Schumacher não saiba por onde o Senna passou.
everybody goes on about donnington 93. fact is those cars had greater driver aids than earlier machines, for me, th greatest lap of senna's career, and anyone else's, is the pole lap from Suzuka 89. thats car control
that's true, but the fact is, the driving aids was for all of them, and the more developed cars were the willians.. and the point to me is, with or without these aids, he could extract more of the car on those conditions than any other driver.
About killing laps, I simply love these lap on suzuka 89 you mentioned, but he has much memorable laps. Very hard to choose one.
Que isso!!! Ele guiava com pneu slik na chuva!!! Huahuahuahua O cara era foda D+!!! Tem que ter muito controle do carro!! Eh saber exatamente quando o carro vai perder aderência e corrigir no momento exato!!!
in portuguese what she says is that since the day he found out he wasnt good in the wet, every day it rained, he ran to look for his kart. He would come back all wet from the rain looking terrible but that's how he became so good.
No team boss could tell you who was the best driver of all times. And veryone of us has his favorite driver and that's just OK. We shall forget about the idea that the best has to be one of our land's man.
Ayrton Senna was the greatest F1 pilot of all time. The greatest lap in F1 history was the opening lap of Donington in 1993 - a masterpiece of control, precision, and aggression. RIP Ayrton - we miss you always...

@Halfback1990 Shut up... nowadays the traction control makes everything... all you gotta do, is hit the gas.

@FellipePina there is no traction control nowadays, there are no electronic aids at all today actually. you gotta pay more attention to F1 mate.
