Recession Proof? Not likely. Having previously lived, and owned, in a Hometown neighborhood, I can tell you personally that my neighbors still had their house on the market after two years of trying to sell it. In 2002 when my now ex and I built in Hometown it was a decent neighborhood, Bigelow cheapened up and now it just looks ghetto. So, recession proof? NOT!
lets see the 3000 pages of fine print, where you don't honor any of these claims. PLEASE PEOPLE DON'T FALL FOR THIS BULLSHIT. Their is no such thing as a FREE lunch.
Having an entire basement apartment is a great deal: you can rent it out $700 a month easily to a pair of college students... if your mortgage is $828... well you do the math.
It's too bad Americans have since the industrial revolution completely abandoned teaching useful skills in schools. We could be building our own homes. A cob cottage for $500 total is entirely possible. But we are spoiled and wealthy, and believe in slaving for 30 years to pay a mortgage.
wooden houses are not protective and need more maintenance than brick house but its alot cheaper in the US and quick to build. They can also be renovated easily and US has alot of forests.
Why American House Made Of Wood And VERY Expensive for wood house?. Why American House Has No Gate No Car Parking And American All House Has BOX shape Stye House?
Houses are made of wood because it's cheaper and faster. Houses are expensive because of size, location, and amenities. Many houses have no gate/fence because crime is not a huge problem. I'm not sure what you mean by no car parking; in the downtown areas of big cities, parking is scarce, but most everywhere else houses have off-street parking, in fact, most houses have a garage.
Very insightful comment. The answer to your question is that the home is covered for 10 years, through an outside company, so that in the event the builder goes out of business, the homeowner is still protected.
Yeah right, my goddamned builder can't even be held accountable for his crappy siding workmanship, how the hell are you going to make a claim on a bankrupt homebuilder.
