  • Pity the booze destroyed his talent!

Mind you........i would'nt have played him for money and my highest break is 73!

  • rip

  • the way he pots balls is unexplainable really,a graceful deft yet exciting aggressive style i so sadly miss in snooker these days.

  • legend

  • Amazing beat cancer still making 147 breaks. Apparantly he had enough Chemo to kill most people

  • complete genius, loved a fight, loves women, enjoys a fag, propper geaser, i hope he beats the cancer, but he does look really ill

  • i seen him in a north belfast bar yesterday (GLENPARK) aye he loves a fight alright, he was playing somebody for 20 quid.

  • alex came to our club in benfleet essex twenty six years ago for an exibition night. i will never forget that night. he was half cut when he arrived but still got a 135. and what a nice chap he was. had time for everyone. and even bought me a drink nice one alex legend.

  • he may not have all the money and fame of the old days but i'm glad to see he still has enough health to enjoy the game he loves

  • totally agree!

  • a played alex a week ago in an exabition match and on the night he got a 140 clearance av got the vid so al put it on soon

  • do u have that vid of the 140 by Alex?

  • how old is he now?

  • he,s 60 this year.

  • You were treading on thin Ice videoing Alex, he could of turned very nasty. ;)

  • Wouldnt have the strenght to do anything about it!Anyway I was discreet when filming, a matter of respecting a legend!

  • would be great to see him back on the tour - and why not?

  • hes a sick man and theres a lot of travelling in the snooker tour dont think the guy would be up for it

  • I saw Alex Play a couple of years ago, and he knocked in two seventies and a fifty. The talent definatly hasn't gone. When was this video shot and do you have any others??

  • He was practicing in the Spawell in Templeogue, Dublin for a tournament in Citywest about 3 months ago, true pleasure even to watch him now, even a weakened Hurricane can do alot of damage!
