For those who are upset, they used to play this song on MTv and VH1, both back before MTv2, etc. This is a pretty old song, and she actually got some of the recognition she deserves for her talent. This album, Hello, was certified as a Gold Album 11-20-1996.

I really miss Poe, she has a spectacular talent for combining hauntingly emotional and dark lyrics with beautiful music and such ferocious conviction and feeling in her voice. Her album Hello has managed to stay in my regular playlist rotation for 15 years now, no small feat. Angry Johnny and Trigger Happy Jack are two of my all-time favorite songs to which I have never forgotten the lyrics. She will always have a place in my music library along side favorites like Radiohead and Bad Religion.

I saw Poe perform live in New Orleans as the opener for Depeche Mode a few years before Katrina.

She threw down a better show than they did. For example, during "Haunted" she ran all over the venue (one big enough to host basketball games) singing the chorus trailer once and pointing the mic to whoever she happened to be looking at in that instant for them to sing the next line. She did that for like five minutes straight. Ran a poor security guy to death. :-D
