@FastLife79 these waters are actually very clean. The muddy color comes from the river banks once the waves hit them, as well as the ocean waters mixes with the river's fresh water; this river is also the world's biggest fresh water source.

Pirhanas only tend to eat meat at certain points in the year, during the rainy season where all the animals that have died are washed down river, then they get a taste for the blood and rotting flesh. At any other time of the year you're very unlikely to get bitten. Plus the fact that they tend to stay in quieter waters, very much doubt they'd be anywhere near this huge wave...my mate got a chunk out of his toe from a one last year
