  • Do you have any beginner videos? Your western attire made me watch.

  • This looks like the triple two step

  • My grandpa was trying to teach me this but I could never do it. He's a pro and has had lots of practice, then again he's almost 100 and still doing the two step in texas!

  • That's an advanced move, lol:)

  • great tutor

  • great tutoriol

  • Saw a great musical show Royston did at Queens Theatre in the park. Talented guy. And funny too!

  • That's more than 2 steps!

  • could it be more complicated

  • this guy is really good at dancing, I bet he gets a lot of pussy

  • I always thought the two step was 2 steps forward and 1 step backwards... Not quick quick slow slow...

  • This is an excellent country 2-step lesson by 2 excellent dancers.

  • Thank for the moves . Good job.

  • Thank you for posting ,good stuff.

  • Awesome instruction! Great Moves! Funny thing is, I think I remember learning that amalgamation from Robert at the Eastern Invitationals. Back in the early to mid 90's which is probably when this video was shot.

  • Nice routine.

    Unfortunately, here in Northern Virginia,

either all of the clubs have closed, or the line dancers have taken over what limited space remains.

  • here too...........so sad

  • Obviously, he's instructing (very well) and this is not for entertainment value

  • It's not supposed to be improvised, it's an instructional video.

  • he's just teaching some moves. you can change the order, add, or delete as you see fit.

  • Wonderful instructions.........kudos to you both!

  • Seriously, what part of the country do people two step like that? Almost every video on youtube is like this and no where in Texas does anyone do this.

  • Not trying to upset anyone, but doesn't it make sense that if it's all over youtube like this, then it's other than the TEXAS two step? All over the country, people do it THIS way...... :-)

  • @vtjulie528 well its only called the Texas Two Step because it originated in Texas. The American Flag is flown in other countries but its still the American Flag no matter where you are.

  • @TheKRN32 Good point....wasn't meant to offend......hope I didn't :-)

  • @vtjulie528 oh no I wasn't offended I was just stating a point, sorry if it came across that way.

  • you're crazy.. i live in laredo and people two step all the time.. you also see shuffles and triple steps.. other places that you will see this alot in are in mcallen and corpus christi.. i dont know where you live but ive met people from northern texas that dance like this as well.. so north south and east all dance alike

  • @suredudesure really? your name isxDUDEx..did you google cities in texas? There are east coast styles and west coast styles...get over yourself and say...HEY thanks....because honestly trying to correct someone when you don't post up a video showing you know what you are talking about simply shows you are desperate and yearning for a feeling of adequacy and have an overall low self esteem.

  • @kwaky2005 lol you crack me up.. first of all i was not insulting the video because i know that dallas has a completely different dance from corpus christi.. i was merely setting examples.. i think its a great video and what i posted was intended for dragmonky who said where in texas does anyone dance like this.. according to him he's never seen this dance... and about googling a little fyi if you didnt know laredo is in the deep south of texas.. swango excellent video really laid the basics

  • @suredudesure mty mistake, I apologize...dude :D I agree but I'd have to watch this a lot of times to figure it out.

  • Great! This video it's so pedagogic, my girl and I loved it!!!

  • Robert Royston RULES!!!

anyone watching this instructional video is learning ALOT ... for free.

  • Wow! thanks for uploading these patterns.

  • Terrific instruction but these steps are trickier than they look. Must be practiced a LOT.
