@qwq45 i didnt say anything about samhain III or rick rubin in my comment...i was talking about the release of "final decent"and im sorry but on the a-side of that record is all danzig the band playing those songs,recorded before lucifuge and released under the name samhain but it is glen,john,chuck and eerie playing,then the b-side is just a poorly mixed version of the "unholy passion ep"with a few extra guitar bits put in by glen.

@servo1056 Not quite, Night Chill was actually recorded in '86 by Glenn and Eerie. Also, the E-Magine release of Final Descent replaces the Unholy Passion tracks on the B-Side with demos for Samhain-Grim (Twist of Cain, Lords of the Left Hand, Trouble and Possession).

@Honkofthewall thanks honk. i almost forgot about night chill.but the E-magazine release of final descent was not a major release and thus,not readily availible.i was speaking of the major release on plan 9.as always you make me go back to my record collection...hahahaha...thanks buddy.

I wouldn't say it wasn't a major release, just a re-release and it's the only version that's still available for a reasonable price. I always thought that was the better version, it gets closer to the original Samhain-Grim album.
