Have an original copy of Waiting, saw there first tour with Saves the Day ( which they sucked in, im sorry they are awful live) even have full collapse in my top 5 best albums of all time. But after this album war all the time. its been down hill from there. They just produce shit, its actually sad to see a great band produce crap now.

Hey man .Thursday is one of the better live bands.

Their new stuff may not be as heavy as before but it still sends a message and has a meaning ti it.

But the only bad thing is that the last albums seem very overproduced ,less screaming, and it seems like they kinda went backwards to a less agressive more indie sound ..Bur im sure we both miss that raw power their last 2 albums had and they stuck in your head..i hope they go back to what they do best in their next album.

i've seen them five times and each time has been one of the best concerts of my life, they know how to connect with an audience. I remember years ago that they were being billed as the next U2 for that reason. Too bad their label sucks and they put out shitty videos and now they have like no funding. @drockhines The only reason I listen to Thursday is for the very reason you just mentioned -- the chaos of the lyrics. Geoff adds such a 'feel' to the music with the lyrics and the way he uses them. Instrumentally, they're nothing special at all, you must admit.... but I put in 'War All of the Time' to listen to the heartfelt songs like this one, 'Division Street' and 'This Song Was Brought To You By a Falling Bomb'.

Bands like Thrice and Thursday may have had some emo influences in the early chapter of the career (although never the cliche ex-girlfriend hate-throwing, it was always more intellectual than that), but they are definitely NOT emo anymore, theyre completely post-hardcore/progressive bands. But at the end of the day who cares about genres, music is music, take it for what it is

I saw them with Thrice and Coheed and Cambria at the 9:30 club in D.C. which is a really small venue. It was truly an experience. I went for Thrice but was blown away by their energy.

Seeing them in a small venue made a big difference too.

I saw it with my own eyes.  Geoff was to the side of the stage singing, on his knees (no lie), every word of Circa's songs and then suddenly he came out and sang with them. I think it was on act appalled. This was the Columbus, OH show.

You can't compare Anthony Green to Geoff. Two TOTALLY different styles. And Geoff has improved, the earlier albums though he sings outta key ALOT. But the magic lies in the way he puts out his vocals. They're really intense. Anthony Green has a way with rhythms and can handle the higher notes really well and coupled with just the way his voice sounds, makes it great. Daryl... he just fucking amazing. One of the top on my list (When you listen to the Glassjaw album "Worship and Tribute" anyways)
