@lady88569 The star things are, in fact, stars. It's explained better in the book, but Calcifer was a falling star. He didn't want to die, so Howl gave him his heart and Calcifer became a demon. The rest were still stars, but they were dying. They die when they hit the ground.

The book was really good, but this movie is still amazing. The book had a lot more in-depth stuff and focused a little more on the relationship between Sophie and Howl, not to mention explained who the characters were. The movie, though, is a work of art in and of itself. <3

I love them together exept i am confused about some things for ex: after howl saved her from the bomb he went away and then those squirmy things started to chase her so she locked the door and turned it ending up in her town again so why did she then take every 1 out of the castle then when it collapsed she went inside it again and told Cal to relocate it why????? Also 1 last thing so what are those star thing? Did she go in his past and when she came outside he was waiting for her??????

@Horsewisperer1998 truth is we should read the book...miyazaki took pieces of plot from the book and made a big collage in the movie xD So is hard to understand some things without the book ahah

@lady88569 Yes she told Howl and Calcifur to meet her in future because she knew how to help them.

She left the castle with Calcifur to close the connection from the castle and the hat shop. Then she told Calcifur to go to howl so she could try to get him to run, where as the quote "I prefured him as a coward" Came from.

i can't believe this,you keep using the same scenes through out the song......................and there's only one words for this act.............. beautiful and the song brings out the beautiful drawing of ghibli's work. it somehow reminds me the reason why i fell in love with ghiblis artwork and for that i must say. I loved Howl when he first appeared... blonde, mysterious, kind of cold, and cool. Later on he became big eyed, kind and loud... which is cute and all but I feel its a totally different person!
