Does anyone know why this song was not released as a single? I loved it when this album came out and was so glad to see it posted. Thanks much to who ever did the posting.
I'm 16! XD Sorry I had to say it since everyone seems to be older xP I have the tape that this song is on. Yes... I'm probably one of the few that still owns tapes that is under the age of twenty XD but I love Styx very much. Great music. <3
Does anybody know where I could find the guitar chords or tabs or anything for this song. It seems to virtually not exist. This is quite possibly my favorite Styx song ever!
I've always loved Styx. I've sen the original, and what's left of the band, and also dennis by himself. Styx is one of those bands whose sum total is greater than each of the individual members. Sure, they're both still worth seeing, but without each of the 5 parts, you don't have Styx. you have good music, but something is missing. They just can't put together any powerful original music without Dennis. I guess they knew it and were pissed- they just wanted to rock without the ivory in front.
@nealsjunie As long as Styx is Styx than it will be good. All 5 members working together instead of one person doing all the work ALWAYS makes a better result. Example: Grand Illusion, Paradise Theater, etc.
Beh, si una delle mie preferite...per questo ti ho dato un +. Ma... ce ne sono di migliori, già nell'album stesso da dove proviene, che è un grande album. Ciao
Styx has some great music and some very different music but nothing can touch the masterpiece they created called Paradise Theater. Every song is fantastic especially the guitar work on Half Penny Two Penny. Cant finger a favorite cause the whole album is great.
And, if you think this is good, go listen to their song called Boat On The River off the Cornerstone album. It's totally different and non-rock. They could do it all. They weren't my favorite band but one of them and one of the best live.
Yeah, I used to play it over 20 years ago and I'm planning to play it with a future band. I'm sure the lead is all I've forgotten but will recall it easily since I will still semi know it. The song starts with an acoustic guitar. You play an open A chord and just lift your pinky on and off the B string without lifting any of the other fingers off that A chord. Then you go to an F sharp minor bar chord.and then an E. It then repeats. Next it stays similar but you start adding a D chord.
this song was my favorite song on the best STYX album ever! i listened to Paradise Theater for hours as a kid. i have the full album on vinyl but can't find the full album with this song on cd, is it available for ipod? THANK YOU! for posting this song I feel 16 again.
@plzletmelive1 probably Tommy. the guys tended to do lead vocals for the songs they wrote. with the exception of JY, who did some lead, but not nearly as much as Tommy, or Dennis
That's the thing about great old groups like Stxy...even songs which are only considered "time fillers" on an album were absolutely great...not like today where there are some of a groups big hits seperated by several minutes of crap.
truly awesome song. everything styx did was excellent. styx is absolutely nothing without the good old line up back then: tommy, dennis, james, john, and chuck. i don't care what anyone says.
@19dave64 It's funny that it's a filler song. More than any other Styx song, this is the one that I'm going to pull out and play after all these years.
2 days ago i lost my virginity to this song ROCK ON STYX!!!!! ROCK ON!!!!

@loralie5974 Your welcome. Who knows why groups choose the songs they do
as singles. There have been alot of great songs never released as singles and I thought
this was a great song off of a great album.
