Is it about Napoleon Bonaparte and French Revolution? I thought so at the beginning but I'm not sure now: he wasn't the king and I don't understand a part with Jerusalem bells and Roman Cavalry. I hope someone will explain what this song is about..

it means "long live life". "viva la x" in spanish is a formula similar to "long live x"; for example, "long live the queen" translates as "viva la reina" ("reina"="queen"). "vida" means "life" in spanish.
