As we continue to walk towards God we become less and less interested in how the world does things and more and more interested in having a Kingdom mindset, the mind of Jesus Christ. I enjoy listening because the Holy Ghost inside of me bears witness with this church. Not their hair or how their dressed.

I am confused....I am a penticostal but I dont understand why the bible preaches that we are not to adorne ourself with Jewerly and Pentipostals still wear it. .....I Love Penitostal doctrine but confused why some wear it and some dont.

@1tsalas Well. The bible always refers to the jewelry wearers as Egyptians. And it is our goal to NOT be like the Egyptians. Yes, we all wear a sort of jewelry. I prayed about this a lot and God revealed to me that anything that does not have a purpose can be jewelry. Hairbows, ties, a belt that's not holding up your pants. I choose not to wear jewelry because of my revelations, not because my church preaches against it. :)

you know i have grown up apostolic all my life in Jamaica and even out here were debate the issue of should females wear pants or process their hair and so on. i believe that holiness is govern and guided by the Spirit of Jesus and if He resides in you he will convect your heart and so you know what that skirt is too short and if the time is too hot the wisdom of God will guide you to dress modestly without exposing what should not be.

I was raised UPC & i wore the skirts & they had to be below my knees & the longer the better or i was "going to hell" but then my pastor started to preach we are saved by Gods GRACE, not by what we wear & our church completelyfell apart & sides were chosen & now "friends " from 20 + yrs no longer speak bcuz you're going to hell bcuz you're wearing a skirt @ you're knee or you go to the beach...how is that Gods will? @unitedpraise I'm not judging J.Dean, so lets put that to rest. You should talk to your pastor and ask him why the church has standards, i'm sure you will get an education concerning why standards exist. Hair and dress are two of many standards in the UPC, at least they still are in some churches in the UPC.

Once again i'll say, not too long ago alot of the things we see in our churches today would not have been tolerated back then. Think about it!

Not that long ago hair and wardrobe were standards that were a big part of what made the UPC noticably seperate. So I really think we need to leave it up to God to do the judging. If God really had a problem with JDeans hair that night, do you think he would have anointed this song like he did?
