Jason Brown has stared riding again ,19 years ago brakeless whiplashes were invented txxshadOwxxt ?? well in 1988 23 years ago my buddy Dave did 27 on flat ground brakeless as his Dia Compe Nippon snapped the day before, this was in the UK.
Jason was great, as I remember it, he instantly stopped riding after his sponsors dried up. I guess he wanted to make a living from his riding. Man That whole Vancouver riding scene was the best in the world in the world during the mid-90's.
Still just as sick everytime I watch it!! A thing of beauty Jay. I was lucky enough to street ride a few times with Jay in Vancouver many years before this video. He would throw out a sequence of 5 or 10 consecutive John-Donut's and would have a crowd of 100 or 200 stopped in there tracks in front of the art galery on Robson by the time he lifted his head....There was no followup any of us in the group could do...Jay = Too Good, Too Fast, Too Precise. Thank you for the memories.
he continued to ride up to 2003 and maybe longer, he once did pinky squeaks so fast it was a blur i try to tell people that but they laf at me. And no i was not on anything, and either was J Brown
it was similar to the weed wacker trick where in stick be on side of bike you joggle the head tube back and forth to get the bars spinning but he did it with the frame, and had a wistle on the back so it would sound like a turbine. I thinkg he did it maybe between 10-15 times a second but he had a peg high on the forks so legs travelled less distance, flight gear pegs i think they folded up on the forks and were chrome like the forks.
he rocked that!I met jason in 1996,and he was super cool, and sold me some pegs and primo pervert type gadgets he was producing, where ever you are, keep it up,jay!
I remember Jason Brown back in march of 1997
in PROVIDENCE, R.I.
@ THE ESPN X-GAMES TRAILS
I placed 5th in Flatland.

j brown! the true pioner of flatland.
i was there from the start and without j brown flatland would not be where it is today.
breakless whiplashes where invented in front of browns house in poqo vancouver 19 years ago. i personally pulled 23 before i ran out of hill.
i just want to say, even though i dont ride bmx anymore, i dream about it til' to this day. flatland haunts my dreams.
just remember where flatland originated.

You're absolutely right! I wish I could've been there to confirm what you were saying when you were telling them. Jason was fast as fuck!
