My best friend's father got out of the hospital yesterday. He is NOT fully covered with medicare for prescriptions. He is covered for only 20 days in a rehab after 2 amputations & 2 heart surgeries in 3 wks time. He'll run out of Medicare to cover him. His life savin after that. His entire life savings will be GONE in 2 months. In just a blink of an eye...gone! His story is just one of millions. I hope you never find yourself in this precarious position.

(AP) - Millions of older people face shrinking Social Security checks next year, the first time in a generation that payments would not rise. The trustees who oversee Social Security are projecting there won't be a cost of living adjustment (COLA) for the next two years. And they want to fund healthcare and they cannot even get social security and medicare right.

The Feds do get Medicare and Social Security right. Those programs are solvent for at least another generation, with overhead expenses hardly existing in Medicare. It's the private sector that can't get health care right (putting aside the 50 million uninsured problem and the fact that the life expectancy rank for U.S. citizens competes with that of the Costa Ricans). Oh, and according to the Commonwealth Fund-- we might see health insurance premiums double in ten years!

The health care you have is not yours. It's not like your house that you paid for with you money. It's not like the car that you bought and it's not the like the computer you are using. It belongs to the company you pay to get it. If that company goes bust or takes it away from you because they feel the need to you will not be talking so tough. You will be really screwed.

I live in Atlanta GA. Alot of people hate David Scott in the Smyrna area. Scott is very arrogant. Scott does not listen to the people in his district. Scott doesn't read the bills and votes strictly party/lobbyist. Before this townhall meeting, I was at downtown Atlanta near ACORN headquarters. I saw ACORN trying to recruit pro-ObamaCARE to attend the meeting. ACORN didn't have much success. Scott was pretty pissed, because the townhall meeting consisted mainly of anti-ObamaCARE people. lol

Because of our bleeding hearts. we started Entitlement programs to give a hand up, but some made it a way of life, that created a need for more tax dollars, which created more poor people (not by choice), it's a never ending cycle. every time the federal Government gets involved it makes the problem worse. now when a politician steps in & Panders to all those poor people...........we get Obama.
