  • ye there getting better and better at damaging eyes. tvs nowadays are so bright they give you strain

  • I wish the tv shows were as awesome as tvs these days....

  • That TV wouldnt stand a chance against my 3 year old.

  • It's 2012 where are these TVs?

  • @mrshahidshafqat it actually stands for Life's Good

  • @Jaker652 it actually stands for Lucky-Goldstar so your both wrong

  • allah

  • what is the point of it being so slim you need that big base in the bottom...

  • I'm thinking 2 things to do with this incredible TV. And thought of a play call of duty for PS3 in HD and 3D and 2 *. * SEE PORN BIG IN 3D & HD WOOOOOOO. Infinite FAP FAP FAP FAP. LOOOL!!

  • @javyeah96

    porn in 3d=strip club

  • pioneering this technology?? haha sony had this shit in 07

  • ITS 2012, WHERE THE FCUK IS IT???

  • STILL WANT TO KNOW when their going to LAUNCH OLED TV??

  • Id rather have this than any 3d giant tvs

  • since it is flexible, why don't they make a curved one for surround 3D

  • TV's are getting awesomer and awesomer!

  • OLED should make 24', imagine those in 2 and 3 monitor PC displays :O

  • OLED has the best chromatic luminescence ,response time and energy efficiency of any display type ever... OLED is entirely different from "LED" tv on the market now, which are just LCD's with LED backlights. The fact that it is a "spray on" chemical means it's economical to manufacture, but being organic, the diode chemicals can be damaged by the environment if they get exposed, which is NOT supposed to happen unless the display panel cracks. Each pixel is a separate LED, it's own light source

  • it looks like a freaking mirror...

  • OMG this technology is easily damaged when oxygen gets at it LOLOLOL ...

    kill this tech already LOLOLOL

  • Having a better picture is wonderful but watching tv is still about the quality of the programs you are watching and also about the enjoyment you are getting from it and that comes from sharing time with others sometimes watching tv. Seriously I guarantee you Freddy Got Fingered on this $10k tv set will still be as big a disappointment as when it came out. A horrible movie. I think cable tv packages need to get cheaper for people to enjoy technology more.

  • I'LL BE BUYING THE 31" IF Sony doesn't come out with a 31" OLED TV. I'm so going to be broke after buying this. any dates or price for them?

  • @genestarwindjf80 Yes! it will come out in March of this year (2012) you can google more info (or which ever Internet search you use) as for the price, I am not entirely sure.

  • @DanielAvilaAGT cool you can get a technology that dies when oxygen hits it LOLOL

  • @genestarwindjf80 if Sony supports this technology they are doing us no favours as why in the heck would anyone want a tv that is so sensitive and can be damaged so easily ? it can be killed by oxygen lololol

  • Sure I saw the guy at the beginning on Jeremy Kyle.

  • imagine a wireless transparent oled tv on ur wall..

  • @conbatengineer but will you stfu?

  • but will it blend?

  • The Samsung Rep that visits my store once in a while came by one day and I asked what Samsungs progress and thoughts were about OLEDTV. He said it's not really something they are focusing on because no one's gonna wanna spend $25,000 on a set that is guaranteed to literally die within 7 years. I'm sure OLED will be the future, but not now.

  • bet it will sound shit.

  • Comment removed

  • @retrojaxed2 bet you cant afford it

  • @MakeleleToulalan wow,i felt as though i was back in the playground.you know something,i cant afford 1.but my 50in led works fine for me son.

  • Its because oled technology is still expensive to produce. thats why until now they cant introduce it to consumers market..

  • 2012 CES in U.S 55inch OLED TV will be displayed. and sell from this summer before London Olympic. it may be about US$10,000~15,000 (not sure but I saw an news article about the guestimate price)

  • Make it so I can watch my movie from both sides!!!

  • @earthlinglife Buy two of them and have them back to back. ;-)

  • nice job coping sony

  • @MightyDawq The basic OLED patent is reserved to Kodak. man.

And sony coudn't reach to long life of OLED display for sale yet.

  • 2011 went and no OLED TV's so you failed LG

  • @SWOgottaGO One market prediction mistake? What a horrible company.

  • @Gewath "Next year to be realistic" <<<< FAIL

  • woooow

  • is this available in 2012 in AMERICA ? thanks

  • @snappy8806 Sure, if you crap money, you can probably get a 32"-er for $40,000-$50,000 somewhere. It probably won't be at your local electronics vendor's for -at least- half a decade, though.

  • Magnifique !!!!!

  • Why do these stupid companies keep focussing on the fucking depth and flexibility of the monitors...

OLED is about the damn colors and response time!

Who cares if a screen is one inch or 3mm.....

I just want picture qiality, damn it!

  • Future is here!

  • im getting a new tv next year i was looking at december of this month but i wouldnt mine getting the 31 inch oled but the question is will i be able to get this in the untied states in 2012

  • Yap i agree, apple uses advertising to sell there product. For instance you could get a mac for 1200 or a top of the line gaming computer for 700-1200 that also has windows 7 and 6gbs ram with a 1gb dedicated v-ram for video. Ya macs are ripoffs compared to pcs.

  • THINNER PLEASE! I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE HIDE MY TV IN A GIANT BOOK!

  • The awkward moment when humans will be using TV's a Frisbee's.

  • so so so sexyyyy.....

  • I love how they are becoming so thin....a minimalist's dream :D

  • Where can i buy this TV?.....?......?

  • is OLED out in the market for buying ?

  • its funny how clear TV's can look so great through a Crappy one..

  • Comment removed

  • he doesn't answer the question!!! at 1:00

there's absolutely no problem in making them bigger!!!

OLED is as old as LCD!!!

they just don't release it because they want the money of making LCD's!!!

  • so glad the ps vita will have an oled screen

  • @nnnjc1 I don't support the purchasing of the ps vita, but I'm happy to see "new" technology being implimented in handheld devices so soon.

  • @nnnjc1 oxygen kills OLED ... I think I am passing on the vita as I don't want to support such a stupid tech

  • KOREAN MANUFACTURERS ARE THE BEST WHEN MAKING NEW INNOVATIONS..

`JUST LIKE SAMSUNG, THEY CREATED THE FIRST 8-MEGAPIXEL CAMERA PHONE (INNOV8) AND THE FIRST SLIMMEST PHONE THAT MEASURES AT MERE 6.9 INCHES,THEN FOLLOWED BY A NEW TECHNOLOGY,THE AMOLED..IN 2009,THEY RELEASED SUPER AMOLED WITH WAVE AND GALAXY S..AND THE FIRST SLIMMEST 3DTV WAS SAMSUNG SERIES 9000 THAT MEASURES AT 0.9 INCHES..AND ALSO THE FIRST TRANSPARENT AMOLED SCREEN

...I SAY, KOREANS DO GREAT WHEN COMPETING WITH OTHER TOP BRANDS..

  • @DVincenz Samsung is so great, it is a one if not the greatest top brand,

  • LG and Samsung is South Korean brands, however according to recent world people survey, Why do over 50% people think, those brands are Japanese companies? LoL

SAMSUNG's original meaning is "Three Star"

LG's original name is "Lucky Goldstar (in Korean name Geum Sung (Venus)"

  • @nachtnite I thought LG standed for Life is Good :P

  • @nachtnite because quality products of Asia usually referred to Japan in the past.. sorry..

I did know though that Samsung is South Korean

  • @LongJohnOlsen Oh... I wonder how could you say if you see this. :)

    - blog.daum.net/zweiweb/27

    .

  • @nachtnite believe it or not, it was not to criticize, at all :) it's bad that people refer to some countries as quality and some others as not.. I think advertisement is the cause. Oh I remember the LG Chocolate (Prada), nice phone :)

copying things will always exist, the originals just have to advertise some more to keep their products the most looked on :) advertisement is everything in sales (sadly), just take a look at apple..

  • @LongJohnOlsen WOW similarities in Hyundai sonata and Lexus GS350 are stunning! : o

  • @nachtnite i thought LG = Life's Good ?

  • @mulanfer It's kinda slogan...

  • @nachtnite wtf? LG stands for Life's Good lol

  • @nachtnite LG Stands for Life's Good

  • @MrTikkiWiki Yes, but it is kind of a slogan.

    Google. LG Lucky Goldstar :-)

    This means Lucky Venus.

  • @nachtnite LG stands for Luminar Goldstar, Luminar and Goldstar were two different companies, who after there merger combined there name to LG.

  • last year LED was the hype....I hope this year (2011) they mass produce OLED screens

  • B THE BEST OLED

  • I want to use this as a desktop monitor!!! Suuweett!!

  • I saw the 11" Sony OLED in a shop and was not impressed. The movie on display had serious trailing issues I've not seen on LCDs in the last 2-3 years. I really hope that's completely eliminated. Also.. It won't at all be worth the price for the next 5-10 years.

  • Drool. I imagine something that beautiful is quite fragile though. Would hate to have to move it around too much. What's the price, £10,000?

  • @folder766 actually they are much more robust than LCD tv, as only one component is required for emission, the self illuminating, electroluminescent organic film. so theoretically, it should be impossible to smash an OLED screen

watch this: youtube dot com /watch?v=f8S8tbQMp2k

  • by the time this TV comes out people will be all over 3D TV's

  • @DiogoE6 OLED TV's do/will have 3D capabilities

  • I don't think Oled screens are going to really cause any sort of impact unless they make them a lot cheaper. Oled TV's should actually be cheaper because they cost less materials to make are easier to make and shipping should be less of a problem because they are smaller and lighter. Plus you can make flex screens with oled's and paper thin screens.

  • @CookieMonzta1995

Dont worry, OLED TVs will eventually go down in price when companies are ready for mass production.

Its just like how LCDs and Plasmas were way expensive back in the day.

  • @7Slate oh yeh just remembering now the 1st year they came out it was like £3000-4000 pounds for a 30-40 inch xD

  • Nicely avoiding difficult questions mister Mead, well done. Yes, we know it's 2,9mm deep, but we do not care, we want bigger sizes and you could not answer that question and why it is not possible yet.

  • @sirlookass

Yes true, but It's becoming very expensive unit cost with increasing per 1inch square. ;-(

    An Oled screen developer said.

  • Thats my next computer monitor!!!
