"To a dead beat from an old greaser. Think you must have me all wrong. I didn't care, friend. I wasn't there, friend, If it's the price of pint that you need, ask me again. "
<3 Beautiful. Music that makes you think. The world needs more of that. Jethro Tull...their music takes me to different places, different worlds, and I love that. I need that.
From a dead beat to an old greaser, here's thinking of you.
You won't remember the long nights; coffee bars;
black tights and white thighs in shop windows where blonde assistants fully-fashioned a world made of dummies (with no mummies or daddies to reject them).
When bombs were banned every Sunday and the Shadows played F.B.I. And tired young sax-players sold their instruments of torture --- sat in the station sharing wet dreams of Charlie Parker, Jack Kerouac, Rene Magritte...
what a beautiful song....it reminds me a little bit of van der graaf generator(my personal favourite band)...the english prog rock scene is so great.....vdgg, jethrotull,king crimson, elp, yes,genesis and many more....its so sad that today's english youth listen to craps...forgetting the great musical heritage of their country. perfect 10/10.
What a lovely song. Ian Anderson you are a champ.

Wow, forgot about this album. Fresh sounding and clean. Great era for Tull. This is a forgotten gem. Under rated

A strangely beautiful blend of sorrow and regret. Simply brilliant.
