Hmm..some people are annoyed with the changes but they don't affect me in any way. I quite like the new layout. At first I found it a little complicated to get used to but once you get used to it then it becomes a lot easier.

All you have to do to leave a comment is click "comment" underneath the video. That easy ;) It shows the comments and gives you a little box to type your comment.

I feel ya, my brother. The reality is, YouTube can do what they want and are unlikely to respond to rants. Rather than rant, make a second video in which you present to YouTube a logical argument for why they should ammend their site with your ideas. Show them that if they adopt your ideas, they will get better viewership and page views. It can actually work.

I like the way things were before Google took over even though nothing worked properly back then... I almost never look at channel pages anyway... I watch videos, and there are so many channels that I'm subscribed to that I miss more than half the content... I would like the staff at YouTube to put 36 more hours in each day... Thank You.

The phekwig channel is subscribed to only 100 other channels which are my favorites. Yours is one of those...

When I log in as phekwig I only go to the subscription pages

and I watch every video that comes up!

I can't comment as fehquig on email notifications to the phekwig channel anymore because YT stopped sending me those weekly email updates...

I have a new channel consisting only of taxi vlogs. It is the mehquig channel :)

Errm, it is actually not this difficult to leave a comment to the video. Under the video player is the info to the video plus Comments (right beside). So you can leave a comment to every video of the person's profile and you don't need to leave its profile. You can watch and comment all of its videos just at the new profile page.

Unfortunately it is a bit confusing at the beginning.

I'm with you I really don't enjoy the new channel page layout. There really should have been some sort of way that Youtubers even a select few have a say in how they think the changes should be. I've faved this vid in the hopes a non-lazy person will go and take the time to look. A new thing I see now they've done when you fave something they give you recommended vids based on this vid. The vids they recommended are notttthing like any of your vids. : )

Also, with the old channels, you were able to click on the + on the bottom left of multiple videos and they would go into a quicklist. If I'm not mistaken, this feature is not available with the new channel.

My biggest beef with the redesign is that you no longer have the option to view someone's videos on a separate page. THAT'S how I check people out. With this new set-up, you can't even see running times.

There is some buzz, rumor that YT will begin to allow "broadcasting" live by partners, much like BlogTV. Maybe that's the goal. I don't particularly care for the new layout but it it also apparent that YT doesn't care what I think. :)

*lol* Love it when you get all Emo on us John. I would compare the changes on YouTube to a cafe. Have you ever been to a cafe that you enjoy. You like the tables and chairs. You enjoy the food. There is a sofa in the corner where people sit down and read or relax and you enjoy that space as well. Then suddenly the owner (or new owner) changes the feeling of the place by buying new tables, rearranging everything, even changing the menu. You no longer feel cozy there. This is similar to that.

The more they change things, the deeper down our videos get and are harder to find. I find it odd that as my subscription base grows, the number of views I'm getting are drastically decreasing. Their ignoring the community is what's been making me lose complete interest in this site. It's like a dysfunctional relationship that I'm tired of taking part in.

I noticed that we're all experiencing that. My videos would hit 100 comments with regularity back in the day and this just hammers the cork in the bottle. They might as well suffocate us. Amen to the dysfunctional relationship.
