I'm looking at buying several bulk packs of the dynamat xtreme 9 sheets 18" x 32" but the sheets you were using in this video look way bigger. how much did you pay and what kind of bulk pack did you buy? i'm planning on buying about 6 bulk packs for my car. i've done the calculations and in some areas are double layers that i'll want to be putting. even under my hood all the way to the firewall to the trunk. roof and doors included.
@akuzaru I had bought a "10455 Xtreme Bulk Pack" and quickly ate through that so went to a dealer and also picked up a 10465 Mega. This covered the inside of the doors, firewall, underside of cowl panel, all of the floors including tunnel, wheelhousings, inside of quarter panels and rear end hump. Still have a could of the tiny sheets I believe which will probably do the trunk top of the gas tank.
yes those earl mustangs were intended to be the econo-car of their day. Lots of rattles, bumpy ride, really not that quality of a build at first. Then they took off due to the unique front slant rke of the body, long nose short hatch sports cars were forever transformed because Americans still love and desire that look.the look of going fast while standing still. Quite the trick but it's time tested and true. Dyna-mat the crap out of a mustang to increase comfort, ride enjoyment
How many layers did yo apply? It looked like a lot. Did you only do the inner side of the door, or did you also do the outer side of the door (off video)?
you rule!! does it really make a difference? I have terrible rattles on my doors I have boston acoustics pro 60 se. I have seen many videos where they only cover the outside and not the inside can you tell me the difference? thanks!!
im not extremely worried about weight.. but i dont wanna weigh my car down 100% lol. but the sub i have weights like 75 fuckin pounds.. and the box is like 50 id say.. so after that i dont wanna add like anohter 100 lbs from doin the whole car in dynomat/dynomat extreme. im probly gunna have to buy a carbon fiber hatch to lighten it up.. and redo my suspension. . i want alot of bass.. but at the same time i dont wanna be driving in a slow ass car. but its got a b20 so i do have some extra power.
is dynomat pretty heavy? ive heard it was.. im thinking bout doing this to my crx. like everything from the firewall to the hatch to the cealing and floor.. how much weight do you think this would add? thanks man. peace
@sgtdoink I've used about 90ft^2 of dynamat extreme on the car. The sheets do add up quite a bit but of course its not all in one location. I'd say about 75 lbs total but this is lots of coverage on a 65 Mustang.

@Liddz The door was welded together and already painted at this point.

Nothing makes a early vintage Mustang more enjoyable to drive then adding Dynamat or another sound deadner to quite the road noise in the interior.
