the more rusty opens his mouth the more i dislike him. he insults the fans and then expects us to watch his shows. i watched who and torchwood for the characters and actors dt/jb/gdl/nm/bg/ct and not the rusty's plothole filled soap operas. i will not be watching gwenwood!
I think think the problem with favoring either Russell T. Davies or Steven Moffat is that they while are both really great writers, they each bring a vastly different sensibility to their approach of making Doctor Who.
In my opinion, there is no truly right or wrong way to make Doctor Who, so long as you have the TARDIS, a few Daleks, and some quirky Britishness thrown in. The most recurring motif in Doctor Who is change, and that began way back as the 60s when William Hartnell left.
I just watched the episode "Doomsday" and the only scene I feel was written well was the smack talk between the Daleks and cybermen. I think series 5 has more of my favorite episodes from the new run than the previous four seasons put together.
I started watching when I lived in Ok for the first time on the local PBS station in 83/84. switched on expecting to watch the Goodies I was familiar with when living in Ia-Been a fan since
(PS. Email the BBC or do a vid stating we want more than 6 episodes a season. If the 12 or more are aired like 2o11 fine. But we don't want the Doctor to die.
I liked his episode "Midnight", but not many of the other episodes he wrote. No offense to Mr. Davies, but I feel Steven Moffat is just a better writer.
@Dalekfans Ive been a fan since well..lets say Jon Pertwee was the Doctor then lol and I must DISagree with ya - I really like the steam-punk/bio looking Tardis interior and I don't think he's ruined the Daleks but I kind of know where you're coming from on that score - the insane Dalek thing (was it Dalek Khan - I forget) was a bit of a stretch.
thank you for bringing it back!

@OTredblueblur2009 Mark: But, I gasped on your behalf, when you got Doctor Who. Which we're going to talk about now,
Russel: Yeah. Did you?
Mark: Well. And in a newspaper, it... the implication was...that Doctor Who would be gay.
Russel: Yes. That was the sub wasn't it. The Doctor was queer, yes. Yes, all that sort of stuff, yeah. You'd just expect that though, don't you?

That's true, I was hoping something different, but I can't think of something at the moment that they could do that wouldn't have been obvious.

@JeaHSaren I feel that way too, but I think as a headwriter RTD is better.

@JeaHSaren I sort of half agree, but I only liked Moffat's 'Forest of the dead' and 'Blink'
However I HATE what hes done to the TARDIS interior and most of all hes ruined the Daleks completely.

@Dalekfans I 100% AGREE WITH YOU! THEY WERE THE ONLY GOOD ONES!!!!

@JeaHSaren I COMPLETELY AGREE. Other than Midnight and a few season finals I never really like RTD's style of writing. Moffat is MUCH MUCH better.
