that was in center point tx.. i was their holding a flag at the entrance.. and his name was james kiel not pierce he was from a neighboring town called comfort
Actually it is in Texas and yes we still do this and always have. You can even see the Texas Flag flying in one photo along with the Texas State Inspection signs. Whomever chose to change the name to Tennessee I guess did not notice this. Hopefully Tennessee does do this also, it shows so much respect for the lost love ones.
Rest now my weary brother...your mission is over, you are triumphant and your brothers will keep the fight. You, above all, know that no soldier dies in vain...they die for their country, for honor, for freedom. I'm sure we will all share stories when we meet you in our own time. For now...I've got your six.
Sorry my e-mail said this was in Tennessee (In Tennessee we really do pull off the road and stop for funerals......nobody moves until the last car has gone by.) not Texas, so I am thinking this is not a funeral but a parade I see no hurse or casket, but only a real clever waste of my emotions.

Its so very sad that people in general have to die from STUPIDITY and of course these innocent souls to protect the country from greed. WAR is an EVIL infestation of greed!!!
What an awesome example the Texans have set for their own coming home in this tragic way. America was founded by people who wanted freedom from oppresion. James and others fight for our rights. Thank you!
Raist2 - That might be true, but soldiers die so people like you have the right show your disrespect. I thank God for soilders like James Pierce which allows me tolerate people like you.
It provides us with recources for potential threats. In that case, we are doing it because we are paranoid that the world is out to get us. On the other hand, we could be saving those countries from themselves. More people inthe mid east died from their governments or from having no government at all. Think about it, a lot of the wars we go to are to save others. But, You don't get the racism this war has if your trying to SAVE the people your racist to. So I think its both
Wait...personally, I think raist2 isn't trying to put down anybody. I also believe that it was a great service, as any military funeral should be. But wouldn't it be better if there was no war (not just Iraq, but terrorism in general) to fight? If all those brave men and women could be here with their families? Sadly, it isn't the case and sacrifices must be made.

If you're a veteran, then there is no explanation needed. If you are not, then no explanation could be understood.

God Bless! Really does make me proud to be a TEXAN.
And with all due respect to everyone's opinions, don't start an argument over the war in here...

As nice as the service was, it would have been even better had it never had to take place.

How exactly does invading another country without provacation defend any of us from anything?
