My parents worked for the original company to manufacture Aqua Velva, JB Williams, back in the 1970s. They both hate the smell of it, plus I'm sure my mom loves me running after her in the supermarket saying "Look mom! AQUA VELVA!!" I personally don't have any problem with the smell.

The commercial is definitely cheesy, especially the cornball of a man featured splashing the stuff on.
