The easiest way to find 65% of 40 is to simply muliply 65X40 and divide by 100, so it's...

65x40/100

Finding the percent of a number is so damn easy. :)

You can also do a ratio Or you can do a ratio for ex: 65 over 100 and than you'll get 13 over 20 than you have x over 40% which 20 times 2 = 40 than you multiply 13 x 2 = 26!

i find it much easier to add up "easier" percentages in my head till i get to the 65%

so 50% of 40 would be 20; 10% of 40 is 4; 5% of 40 is 2 (half of 10%)

20+4+2 = 26 !

but, whatever works best for you!
