'Dual boot' can be achieved properly by flashing the 2nd stage boot loader with something like the lab boot loader, which allows the device to boot up from SD/CF Card and bluetooth/USB Networking if you really want to. this method is simply running a 'live boot' in most cases and usually lacks some of the advantages of booting properly with a CF card as the root device, such as persistent storage of your user data or the ability to create a swap space (very usefullfor devices with limited RAM)
nice, i got linux to run on my rx3115. i didn't like the gui and stuff like that. im probably going to make my own embedded distro in the future some decade from now. of course mine will be for anything mobile cause embedded also can include thin clients which i love thin clients but linux has already made it's place in that area, not so much for ipaq's.
Hello, could you please provide instructions, or at least links to information on how to get this to work?
I've got an hp ipaq rx3115 with a 2gb sd card, I have knoppix on live cd if I need to run linux on my PC, but I got a very slow internet connection and all I've found so far are tutorials on how to install linux on old compaq ipaq's and erase windows mobile, I don't want to do that so please provide help, thanks.

That's not a dual boot: It's using HaRet booting into Linux off Windows Mobile

Why doesn't the poster answer this question ? It is useless to tease if you do not give even clues !
