I know about "Black Metal", but where do you think that Venom got musical influence from? Those early proto metal bands like Manilla Road and Black Sabbath, which in turn got their inspiration from the darker blues bands of the time, which were influenced by the early rock n' roll, which were influenced by delta blues and roots rock, which came from slave music, which came from african hymns.
