I just saw it as promoting interracial marriage; to take our black women, this kind movie shall not exist anymore. This is strategic black genocide to decrease the 12% of our black population through marriage.
When Disney does a movie about a group of people that aren't white is the only time they do this interracial marriage thing and it's mostly with another white person. Pocahontas, Kida from Atlantica and shows from the Disney channel. Tangled came out and everyone in that movie was white. There was no interracial marriage. Heck, there weren't even a black or any other race in the background. Brave is coming in 2012 and everyone in that movie from the cast list to the trailer are white.
The prince is not white, the voice is acutally voiced by a Brazilian actor, and if you watch the movie he even says he is from a far away land, therefor not a white american man. Also the movie showes the "black man" in an extremely positive light!! they show him as a repsonsible, hard working father, and family man. So there is no way this movie is racist toward black people. i mean if racism is now defined as calling people what they are then what has this world come too?
Actually, disney confirmed that naveen was not black. I'm actually happy about that cause it shows that blck women can have a good life with a man, who happens to not be black. She embraced him past his skin and loved him at his worst.
I don't think Naveen is white I think he's black but his skin is just more fair than Tiana's.
And I like what you said about kids not caring or thinking about that stuff when they see the movie. All they see is the princess, the talking animals, and listen to the songs. Pure minds.
.it will not hurt the prince was black, disney made the prince hispanic to apeal to a wider audience. people getting upset with the prince, get upset that the black girl was a frog through most of the movie.first disney movie with a black girl and she mostly a frog.and i surpose to be happy to see that so what. put african kings and queens then ill be happy until then what ever disney !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's time for black women to shine and have all men see their beauty, whether they be black, red, yellow, orange or spotty! I don't think black women get the fair opportunity to do that. The media will choose the best white girl they can find and put an average looking black girl besides her. how is that fair? Lets be just! is the media scared or what!
I'm do it I'm write a short story on a plot about the first black prince but the thing is i have some questions 1 should the villain be white? 2 what year should it be set in and 3 how to make him a prince I wanna show Disney how 2 do the right thing and get back on track but the princess & the frog was good though young black boys need a animated role model!
the only fact about Naveen is that he's this really exotic prince from 'x' imaginary country. Before I found that the voice actor is Brazilian, I personally guessed that his homeland would've been placed near the Mediterranean Sea. I don't see him as white, or hispanic or a lightskinned black person, and I think his lack of a definitive racial background should leave fans imagining rather than debating and trying to raise racial issues that are far from concrete.
i don't think naveen is white he could be black he looks black and i don't think white people are that dark i don't think hes hispanic because wtf would that have came from you know?
The only racism here is that this is the first black princess in the whole history of Disney. (Oh, and for 5 minutes before being turned into a frog).
Then why are all the other Disney Movies have their cast exclusively White? Even the NEW Disney movies still have all white cast. And the 1st chance we get to see a "Black Princess" her lover interests has to be any other thing but a Black Prince. They didn't make him "racially ambiguous" to appeal to a larger demographic. They did it to promote Interracilism. While they preserve their own ethnic unity and ensure their money stays within their race and class of people. You are UNCONSCIOUS.
He's NOT white, they made that official before the movie came out. :/ IM BLACK and I think NAVINNE IS AMAZING! There's nothing wrong with her prince. Black people need to shut up about how she should be in a relationship with a black man. OK, lets say that she had a black ROYALTY love intrest. Most likely he would be from Africa (straight african)...but i betcha black people would STILL complain bc he's not african AMERICAN and they would see it as sterotype...just shut up people. >:l
He doesn't even look white, his skin is more tan/brown. I think he was meant to be more racially ambiguous. People need to just get over it. If they wanted him to be white, I don't think they would have given him tan skin, with brown hair & brown eyes. Disney normally makes their white people look as "white" as possible.
"If you do not understand White Supremacy (Rascism) What it is, and how it works everything else that you understand, will only confuse you" Dr. Neely Fuller Jr."The United Independent Compensatory Code/System/Concept"
wow way to be racist aganist whites monkey lips get over it guess what walt disney was racist aganist blacks why do you think it took this long for you BLACKS to get a character
I have not seen the movie. I have friends and co-workers who haven't also. It just feels obsolete. I felt that way before the controversy. I will say this though. I was miffed when I found out the prince wasn't a BROTHER. Cinderella, Belle, & Snow White. White chicks who got White suitors. Mulan. Asian chick, asian suitor. Jazmin. Indian/Arab/Persian chick, Indian/Arab/Persian suitor. Tiana. African-American chick, NON African, suitor. That's bullsh*t!
The movie like all other movies is a message to our children. People have nothing better to do that stream their racism onto everything they see. this movie is not racist, people.. lets relax and maybe learn the lesson that is sent through the movie.. why is it that our kids can watch a movie and enjoy it and adults cant.. the narrator in this video is AWESOME, he is very correct in all of his statements, opinions and views.. AMERICA.. stop the madness, enjoy life, LEARN how to not HATE anymore.
My only problem is that had it been a black prince(which still doesn't exist yet for disney) and a white princess, chances are controversy would have started immediately , just my 2 cents :/
I like the fact that you state you're point of view or opinion but you understand and except that everyone might not think the same as you do. I think it's important to be open in that way. : )
your hypothetical lacks one major point, there is no history of blacks enslaving and systematically discriminating against Chinese. What you don't seem to want to acknowledge is the history of and the continued character assassination of the black male in a WHITE supremacist (global) society and the role television and film has played, and IS playing in mentally conditioning our people. So it is the responsibility of those who DO see, to inform those who can't.
lol i love how people look wayy into thngs in disney movies! if they had made the prince black people would have been upset and said stuff like "'''óh, a black princess isnt good enough for a white prince!' or '"öhh black people should only marry within their race?'''lol it's horrible but you know its true that people will find negativity in anything because they WANT to find it there! remember that kids do not see these things, only oversensitive adults
Naveen isn't really white. Nor is he black. We don't know what Naveen is. He's Maldonian...a fake country. The purpose for Naveen was to be the yin to Tiana's yang, so to speak. His background and heritage isn't key, all you need to know is that he's spoiled and rich, trying to find something more in life. His home country is more of a prop if anything. Tiana's background, however, is important given the time, place, and dream she has.
This story is about dreams and acceptance. Not stereotypes
A prince can be black, but they wanted this one to be freakin INTERRACIAL! WOO! INTERRACIAL MARRIAGE/DATING! go princess and the frog! think of all the other disney movies. mulan had an asian prince.... aladdin had a middle eastern princess.... i mean c'mon, we needed to mix it up
well said. If anything this movie promotes interracial bonds. I think Disney has done a great thing here. There shouldn't be an "all black" anything, or an "all white" anything. There are no race connotations. People miss the whole message by focusing on the negative(or alleged negative).
@TresUp 'There shouldn't be an all black or all white anything'.... Come on. You're being insincere. You watched shows like Friends, The Hills, Gilmore Girls, The Sopranos, How I Met Your Mother because these are/were white shows. Yeah they may have had a Black person as a 'guest' star but they are white shows. Look. WHY IS IT ALL THE OTHER PRINCESSES GOT SUITORS OF THE SAME RACE? Huh? But Tiana didn't? And don't give me no pretend MLK answer. WHY?
@blackclassics Just because there are already established "race dominate" sitcoms and movies doesn't make it right. Maybe she didn't get a suitor of the same race because they were actually trying to discriminate race in their plots. This move shows that any girl can be a princess, not just a white girl. and that her prince can be any male, not just a white one... But when u focus on the negative, as u are doing, you won't see past your own prejudices.
@TresUp Okay TresUp. Alot of people use the increasingly boring and stale statement, 'We're all one, so race shouldn't matter.' Well TresUp if race doesn't matter why, why, why, did EVERY other princess get a SAME race suitor? What's WRONG with Black woman and a Black man wrapped in each other's arms? What's wrong with it? It's all universal right? Well why can't Black men and women end up with each other?
@blackclassics No race should not matter. The reason is sounds "boring and stale" is because people like u don't believe in it. If you closed your eyes and listened to the movie without seeing any of the characters, would u be upset about their colors? Look past race, seriously. Instead of looking for black men and women to end up with each other how bout seeing it as a man and a women together who just so happen to be black. (or hispanic, white, asian, etc.) You can look past color if u choose.
@TresUp TresUp this is the last time I'm going to respond to you because you depress me. One of the beautiful things the Creator gave us humans was SIGHT. Here we are all these colors but insane people don't want us to see it. WHY CAN'T YOU SEE MY COLOR? What's this terminology 'see past it'? If you acknowledge my humanity then you appreciate all of me. Including my color. It's part of me. Ain't nothing to see past. It's part of the beautiful package.
@blackclassics well said... and by embracing your color we should embrace all colors together. Color is nothing but a pigment adaptation to climate. It is not a determining factor to who we should end up with. No group, color, race, ethnicity is entitled to anything but life. So long as race fuels our persuasions, racism rules our lives. Enjoy your color(s). All of them, together.
@TresUp Are you saying EVERY other group is entitled to a story where the male and female of an ethnic group can dig each other but when it comes to Black people we are not allowed the same right? That somehow telling the story of a Black man and Black woman ISN'T universal? That Black people are only universal when we are attached to an OTHER? Bullshit. Black men and Black women have been in each other's arms for thousands of years. So what's the problem NOW?
According to Disney they didn't give him a race. Some people might say he's white, black or hispanic, but really there's no right answer. They gave him a dark tone of skin, but not as dark as Tiana. His voice actor is from Brazil (that is the accent you hear). His kingdom of "Maldonia" is fictional, there is no such country.
I think it's a great thing. I totally agree with what you've said in this video. Why do we need someone to give us an ethnic catagory for him? Why should it matter?
Naveen is white, he was made more 'tan' because people were complaining about him being a white prince. As for the accent it's not Spanish or Middle Esatern, it's European (Almost French), It fact (sorry for the spoiler) he even says "The Frog Prince" in French. The last thing before I go the French and the Italian (If you consider them 'white' enough do tend to have darker skin.
This is the first Disney movie I'm aware of where the girl DIDN'T find true love by disobeying her parents, but by keeping to the values her parents raised her with! My 10 yr old is bi-racial, and we've never made an issue of color, but she mentioned she was happy the princess looked like her and didn't have blonde hair. She was happy, and thats the ONLY reason I take her to the movies.
Come to East LA. That accent isn't Mexican. Dunno what it is. Plus, "De Frage Pruto", for The Frog Prince, "Faldi Faldonza" for my word! or "Ashidanza" for cool. That's not Spanish at all. The Frog Prince would be translated to something like "El Principe Sapo" or "El Principe Rana", homez. In Spanish, there's lot of ways to say cool but "Ashidanza" is not one of them.
Or even when he said "Abinonza" to Louis to mean "See you later". We all know that "see you later" in Spanish is "hasta luego".
It understandble why they didnt have a black prince, and its a good thing too.
First look at the princes personality:
He is lazy, spoiled, has no regards for his WHITE butler, wants to marry a white women for her money, He is a player, and is easily dumbfounded.
Now add a BLACK mans face to it.
It is more controversal to have a black prince, becasue he will be betrayed as a lazy, tapdancin, dumb black man who is later betrayed by the white butler, by turning him into a frog.
I'm pretty sure Naveen is not white. First off, he has an accent and it sounds almost spanish or something. Second, i looked up his name and apparentley its of indian origin. obviously his skin in the movie doesnt look white so yah i dont think he's white. but it was a cute movie and i think it's cool how they made a mixed race couple in a disney movie!
@xxhopee Naveen isn't Spanish. The language he speaks in the movie isn't Spanish, it's complete gibberish. He's just from a made up country. No actual ethnicity, not White, Black, HIspanic, Indian, nothing. We'll just call him Maldonian since that's where he says he's from: Maldonia. But yeah, I agree that it's really nice they put in a mixed race couple in a Disney movie.
This is common in many films, black men are too few, horrible people, men who have some good qualities but just can't provide for their wives, girlfriends and give their families the foundation to help them build a better future.
If you believe I'm thinking too much about this, just ask yourself why they didn't make this a white girl marrying a black prince. Disney knew what they were doing when they made this film, and it's silly (imo) to say they didn't.
You have shows and films produced that will promote interracial relationships between black women and white men, but will seriously impede any film or show that shows black men with black women or black men with women of other races.
I saw the film, it was ok, not top notch animation like toy story oif something. The problem is they showed a villainous witch doctor and a good man, the princess' father who is a good man who has died. That's such a common thing with good black men (to b contd)
Under normal conditions, I would say it's no big deal. If Hollywood was reasonable about portraying black men, black women and relationships between them, I would have no problem. Yes' it's a cartoon, but why didn't they make it a white girl falling for a black prince ? You think Disney, a billion dollar company has no idea what it's putting out there ?
First of all the prince is not white. wtf is wrong with u people. I don't think that the race of the people in a cartoon should outrage any body. when all d movies were all white at least alomost all white they did not have a problem. now that disney has a black film..NOW they talk about it.STUPESSSSSSSSSSS. I JUST THINK THAT PPL ARE FULL OF SHIT.
I am a white woman who is married to a black man. We have three beautiful children. I took our daughters to see the movie and loved it. Why is everything seen as Black and White? The Prince was not white. He may not have been black, but he was not white. I had no problem with him at all.
very well put! i think people tend to make a big deal out of nothing. it's obviously not intended to be offensive.
as for the part about the white prince, i think it should be a good way to teach people (especially kids) about the good qualities of biracial relationships. i give this video a 5 out of 5.
Princess Nefertari (1290-1254 B.C.E.), Yennenga (12th century) and Nzinga (16th century), for example, were all African princesses who eventually became queens. If that isn't enough of a real story to warrant a fictional film, then I don't know what is.

Because of the role that we allow media to play in the lives of our children, I get the need to have your child represented as mainstream and the norm instead of the exception.
But what I want you to get is that we should not look to Disney to validate our existence, particularly when we have a rich history and tradition of royalty. Look to yourselves, museums and history books to find affirming images -- real images -- of people who look like you or someone you know.
you name it, they do it ... and that's just off the top of my head.
At any rate, The Princess and the Frog has made a splash and people are excited. I get being able to take your daughter to see a princess that "looks like her" ... finally. I get being able to have a mother/daughter experience surrounding the "fantasy" of the princess finding her prince. I get having a young black girl as the center of the narrative instead of residing on the margins or being completely invisible.
Which leads me back to Disney's perverted characterization of blacks, some animated and some not, over the years. Sunflower the Centaur in Fantasia (1940), the crows from Dumbo (1941), Uncle Remus in Song of the South (1946), King Louie in The Jungle Book (1967), Sebastian the crab from The Little Mermaid (1989) and Shenzi the hyena in The Lion King (1994) offer some of the most heinous characterizations of blacks in film history. Shiftless, lazy, alcoholics, uneducated, in service to others --
We sit our kids down, at the most crucial time of their development, and offer them cartoons, many of which suggest who they are and what they will become. Just because there is singing, dancing, music and lots of color does not mean that cartoons are suitable for children. When children are forming their identities and perception of the world, it is not prudent to sit them down for hours at a time in front of a television because cartoons are "harmless."
Some of you are probably wondering, "Why all of the drama over fictional characters?" Animated cartoons, through which Disney has earned the bulk of its money and reputation, can be some of the most harmful programming to which children are exposed. Many of the characters are given "human" behavioral and psychological qualities that reflect dominant stereotypes about certain groups in media and society.
certainly mimic; he went about the business of cultural imperialism through the making and marketing of figures that seem harmless but are in fact harmful.
Now, before you get your panties in a bunch, I'm not saying that white men are harmful or perverted. I am saying that continuously circulating the same image of dominant, white male superiority damages everyone, including white men, who may not fit that image. I understand that some people like to paint white men as invincible,
as if it is new, when in fact, there have been black princesses in the history of people of African descent since the beginning of time. Why are we following suit and taking our cultural cues from a cartoon?
My friends know that I do not support Disney in general because of Walt Disney's long history of anti-Semitism and apparent loathing of all things not white, male and Protestant. In my mind, Walt Disney and his images, which reflect his perverted ideology, are nothing to aspire to or
Why not? Because one film does not make up for decades of racist and sexist imagery that has defined Disney's characterization of blacks and women. While I understand the need for young girls to have access to images that look like them in order to have some validation from the very media that permeates every facet of their life, I do not accept Princess Tiana as restitution for years of wrongdoing. What I do not understand is the throngs of black folk running behind this character
shows, films -- you name it, they've done it -- has introduced Princess Tiana: a young, beautiful girl who goes on an adventure through the Louisiana bayou. Like many Disney movies, there's a prince, a father figure, a character with unconventional beauty and mystical fantasies. And finally, there's a princess who looks like me. I think I'm supposed to be grateful, but in the words of Rhett Butler, "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn."
Published 12.15.09By Nsenga Burton.I think I've had enough of the hoopla surrounding the new Disney animated film The Princess and the Frog.
But before I opine further, here's a little background: For the first time in the company's history, Disney has finally introduced a black princess as the lead in one of its features. The company that has given us some of the most iconic characters (Mickey Mouse), theme parks, television
I love how people including this student tries to play things down when they know exactly what they are saying. You know I don't know if it is just that people think someone else is stupid or they want to play dumb. but in any case nobody is dumb enough to fall for that garbage.
umm hooold up.... i know ur not saying im stupid 4 my opinion i know what there there sayin but that doesnt mean i have to agree 2 it i gotta mix boyfriend hes black n white so dont fuckin say that this shit is garbage. shit u can say anything but dont come at me like im all wrong.. SHIT UR WRONG! c i cant say day cuz u got ur opinion n i got mine so imma be the bigger person..
yeah well actually unless you are an expert in the game and you can prove other wise by stated facts um I guess that makes you wrong so you would have to do a whole lot of research time to make sure that your opinions not facts by the way are incorrect to make sure they are wrong. So believe you me I am not wrong. By the way no such things as mixed how can someone be mixed please explain that through science and genetics if you can't do so how do you call someone mixed that is just a term
people use you show me how I am wrong about what I say if others who study media say other wise then I guess your opinion doesn't matter except to you ooooppps sorry. And him being mixed what does that mean.
its not like Naveen is specificity white his skin tone golden, His name is Sanskrit, and he is voiced by a Brazilian (Brazilians being for the most part a mixed raced people) he is ethnically ambiguous so we should in general stop debating over the significance of his race plus now we even have a Latino Disney character.
all this talk about their not being a black prince is foolish because little boys are going to look else ware for role models anyway. Do you ever see boys dreaming of being prince charming from Cinderella ?, and with the presence of Obama I doubt there is going to be a shortage of who African American boys can look up to.
Short of Aladdin since when has a Disney princess movie been about the guy? This movie will result in a Disney market that is going to focus on girls as is the case with almost every Disney fairy tail. The Important thing is that now little African American girls have the option of an iconic princess Barbie that they can relate to as some form of a role model. Finally girls from infancy can feel that they do not have to be blonde and blue eyed to be pretty or successful
The prince was orriginally supposed to be brazillian. Most people dont really mind. Im black myself and i really dont mind what their race is. It really offends me that people would say that its awkward for people who are of two different races. It only matters what they're like on the inside. And please go see the movie. It would help so much more. He's not white so get that straight first. No younger people (16 and under) are going to mind. Expressing differnet races is great.
i completely agree :) i'm glad that you made this video expressing what it's really about. The movie is really for the kids and I've been telling people that kids aren't worried about the races of the characters. The kids' only concern is that they can get a laugh from the video. lol :D
i completely agree with you! :) 5 stars. it doesnt matter if the prince is black or white *lol michael jackson moment* but what matters is if he's a great person or not! which he is ^^ i think interacial *cant spell* marriages are wonderful! but i do hope one day disney makes a black princes marrying a white princess :)
He's Middle Eastern. Well his country is fictional but the name is East Indian and he's supposed to be from Indian/Pakistan/Afghanistan area. Dont you think it's a bit hypocritical for you to 1)complain based on assumptions on a movie you haven't even seen 2)have a problem with Tiara's interracial dating but not the white girls? so black men can date white women but white men cant date black women? you're racist
why should someone support a movie that brings division within a race. That is like you standing up and listening to a con artist take your money and smiling after they do it does that sound very smart. I don't need to see a movie to know what it is about. Um first off lets not fake ok because I can pull a quote from a black woman who spoke about the movie which you haven't read to much about now have you and she talked about the opposite however it still promotes algamation within the black
race ok. Sound who says I support black men with white women I never said that. I disagreed with this black woman's quote I will make sure to find it for you today so I never supported interracial dating when it came to any race in any form because of what it does so I am not fake ok.
Now as far as racist learn what the meaning is before you even use the word ok I can't stand ignorant people who never have taken sociology or psychology classes that use the word racism and racist out of
context and see that would be pretty stupid now would it I would have a problem with both of them since I want to have children of my own so I can't be one sided think about it it would defeat my purpose.
good arguments (by the way im biracial B/W) but thay made that movie with chinese it's called mulan (1 and2 ) and mulan falls in love with a chinese guy. but the problem is that nobody is falling in love with the black man in any of the movies. belive me small girls who watches these movies in a sence fall in love with the same person as the lead. and they cant even emagine falling in love with a black guy the same way they could a white guy. cuss they havn't seen the black features apriciated.
No matter what disney did someone would be pissed off and make a scene about it. It is a disney movie, for kids, I think the majority of ppl really don't care wut their ethnicity is. The prince Naveen isn't even caucasian he's brown (idk if he's indian or a latino or whatever)
From the Preview, I thought the Prince was Hispanic. But they don't really show him much. I haven't seen the movie, but I seems the "Black Princess" is a frog the majority of the movie. So I would think that would be a bigger issue. First black princess, but wait, she's a frog. Finally, you can look at this in a hundred different angles. What about kids with biracial parents? Kids will not care about this. Just Adults who are already "brainwashed" into thinking too much into things.
really you sure because I read an article what biracial children who are babies think about parents. matter a fact funny thing read an article right talked about how this young child asked his mother white woman why she was darker then the child so believe you me it matters.
Well, talking from experience, I am a biracial child, and NEVER THOUGHT of race until High School. I really do think about it more now, and relieze it, because people have to "categorize" you into a race. However, there is always a exception to the rule, so you could be right also. I guess it just depends on where the child is born. I guess I was fortunate to have a lot of biracial kids to grow up with, hence we didn't care about race, cause it didn't matter.
well it has nothing to do with being right the article spoke about a child this not something that I came up with. Second when it comes to bi-racial children their have been studies on their perception why because each is different and relates to race in a different way. Some well in the cases of lets a black man and white woman classify themselves a black so I have read an article even about that a young woman who spoke about only dating black men because they can relate to her because
I wouldn't say it doesn't matter Tyra Banks had a show about bi-racial children and believe you me one of the children had on you might have this a KKK outfit on so this particular young lady had a hatred towards black people due to the malice her Mother subconsciencely surpressed against her black people. Seen another young lady bi-racial and yet she talked about how latinos she was suppose to be mixed with black and latino but she felt that latinos
latinos weren't right. So race does matter even to those who want to so call ignore race the fact that they ignore race means that they do acknowledge race they just don't want to be honest about it. So their have been studies done on this matter as well as several other matters by different experts to see the reasoning, what will come out of these things as a direct result. As well as their are others that know the psychological implications of these things and where they extend from.
Off your movie or off of blacks that it is the dumbest thing I have heard. the fact this young brotha hate to say it I love my black people but that is stupid. first off the tonken white guy. this young brotha fails to realize is token is deeming to blacks so therefore even in his own words he is saying that Disney is deeming blacks I don't get black folks because how do you know people are being deemed and you say it is okkkkkkkkkk.
We totally have the same problem in the "Last Airbender" movie fandom. Only thing is the directors in that movie care even less about asians and made even weirder decisions, and everyone is worried that it will suck because they didn't care. Even if Disney pulled this out of their ass, at east they TRIED. Prince Naveen is officially JUST EVERY ETHNICITY EVER lol. *ala "ambiguously brown" like in the article on "TV tropes". How anime fans argue the ethnicity of dark skinned japanese anime charas.
I think they should have left the Prince white, don't get me wrong he looks grate as a black man. But I think that an interstitial couple would have been grate in a movie, because love doesn't know color.
This is what happens when the AA community hides creoles and lighter skinned members. The prince is not white but a Louisiana creole. Take note of the setting of the movie.
what the hell it is like people don't get the word interracial dating verse intraraccial dating. interracial dating means dating outside your race which includes hispanics. intraraccial dating means to date with your own race.
wtf are u talkin about ??,, all i said was the prince looked HISPANIC (Latino ) to me,, he didnt look white at all,, and u write a whole book,, first off the movie is not racist,, the bad guy jafar in aladin was arab,, ther is which's in allmost all disney movies who are white, so u think the black doctor is being racial cuz he the enemy of the movie ??, haha,, ur dumb dude.. and what about the hispanic prince, are u saying a hispanic aint good enough to be a prince or wha ???
you acting as if it is better interracial dating is interracial dating what part don't you get. you don't get it do you !!!!! it is tearing the black relationship a part it is like you are saying because the character looks Hispanic it isn't so bad instead of saying hey look at what Interracial Dating is doing to the BLACK RACE and RELATIONSHIP.
You're an ignorant individual if you think the controversy surrounding this movie is solely based upon the interracial elements. You need to educate yourselves on these subjects before you present arguments... it'll help you be more articulate. Peace.
first off you need to educate your self because their are several books about blacks and media ok and they speak about these types of issues regarding when blacks see media how it effects their minds their have been case studies done on these things so how do you figure that one.
Actually it is not a fictional movie...image is everything...I would have no problem with this movie if they made a movie with a white princess and black man! We will see how well that workds!
I agree with you one hundred percent! I saw this film the day it came out, and there's nothing racist about it, try as some might to find "unfortunate implications" in such things as Naveen's olive skin tone... Which, really, I mean people act like NO ONE on the whole planet is any other color besides ebony or ivory... most people don't fall into one or the other camp, so hating on the Creole prince is just hateful, honestly.
okay. prince naveen is not pale-skinned at all. He looks Mediterranean to me. In fact, he is the prince of a fictional place called maldonia, which is supposed to be located in the meditteranean, meaning he is of mixed races. His skin is chocolate brown and he has a Spanish accent. I think this shows the beauty of interracial relationships.
Seriously.... It's a just a fictional movie, a cartoon kids movie for that matter. Everyone just needs to quit being so sensitive for something that is trivial.
FIRST OFF MULAN WAS NOT A PRINCESS... Aurora, Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine,Pocahontas were the only Real Princesses...but Mulan is referred to as a Disney Princess... Tiana makes nine POCAHONTAS' Love interest was white... blonde haired blue-eyed ok and no one bitched about it so why start now? A black French prince? There is no such thing... If yall want then ask Disney to create on set in Egypt or in the Congo I think that would have made a wonderful story until then shut up!
thats bull$hit. jasmine had aladdin, snow white had prince charming, mulan had an asian prince, so WHY THE HELL can't a black princess (especially the first one) have a black prince? Come on people!!! Open your eyes!!!!!!
Thank you this is Racism to Segregation within the Black Male and Female Relationship. You are so right people aren't stupid that media effects peoples perceptions. How many people buy something because of the fact of businesses using media, or all the other behavioral effects tjhat media brings.
don't you understand anything about psychological conditioning. it is hurting the black relationship because it is reinforcing black segregation within the black race as well as showing that other races are better suited for blacks then even their own race. not to mention that little girls and boys who are black have been known by black psychologist to gain complexs from these things so believe me it matters. what people do show through media does matter on every level because it programs people
I agree with you completely. When I first heard about the Princess and the Frog's main character being a black princess my first reaction was "Sweet." I'm a Caucasian young woman 19 years old. I grew up watching "multi-cultural" themes in real life and movies. I had never seen a whole lot of racism until I came on the internet, in fact. Why is there controversy over the prince and the witch doctor and everything else?
Welcome to the internet! But seriously, this movie is really for kids and the funny thing is that kids are so innocent until they get exposed to 'black and white' issues so they only get one point of view and nothing more. I don't see anything wrong with mixing both cultures in the movie. I think thats the direction we should've been heading into from the start. Maybe in the next 500 years we'll all be brown so we can all just move the heck on but sadly I still witness this.
the black relationship. see they wouldn't do that to their own race in fear that their relationships might be at stake. matter a fact I watched a documentary of Tabboos in the media and it was talked about how whites when it comes to them do have power to stop that mess for themselves.
um these type of things work on the subscience mind sets of black children Dr Margrett Beale Spencer guess what is a Therapist and she works for the most part with Black Children guess what their perceptions of the Black Race are that White is better as a child I watched television and was brain washed to think that Whites were better. So guess what is going to happen with young Black Women correct they are going to look for their interracial prince and guess what will happen to the future of
are you serious for real um they made the um white doctor black to protray black males in a negative light and the prince white to protray him in a positive light. when it comes to interracial relationships they dipict blacks as each others enemies while whites through racism correct use of the word to be able to protray blacks away they like because God forbid blacks be shown in a positive light figured whites wouldn't understand that well I mean most won't.
But the reverse is allowed to occur with no slap on the wrists at all?
It's a cartoon. Don't get all political racist and junk on us over a fictional cartoon. My only beef is that the movie isn't true to the original telling of the fairy tale, but it's still a wonderful movie. To say "this and this" because the cartoon members are or are not a certain colour IS a racist comment. And I have to shake my head on how ridiculous you sound.
please tell me right from the psychological mind set of blacks and first do an assessment of blacks mind sets verse whites how a black person can be a political racist how can a system that whites created how then can blacks be racist please explain that what power do we have we don't even have power to have what we want in movie how can blacks be racist please explain this. what reverse please explain this.
well tell that to I don't know children who pick up guns because they see it on tv or children who have premature sex or I don't know see movies, television and violence I am sorry about that it must not happen because of these things oh wait media says other wise wow you know I guess I am cutting up on disrespect of the black relationship you know you are righjt maybe I am wrong for giving a damn about the black relationship but seems more blacks dont care about that.
historically based, institutionally perpetuated system of exploitation and
oppression of continents, nations, and peoples of color by white peoples and nations of the European continent, for the purpose of maintaining and
defending a system of wealth, power, and privilege. I. What does it mean to say it is a system? The most common mistake people make when they talk about racism is
You are being incredibly stupid. If you want to blame premature sex in children and teenagers, blame the parents for lack of parenting. Blame the TV networks for allowing so much sexual scenes to be played out. Miley Cyrus is more of an influence on negative behavior than this movie.
The fact that people are complaining because there is a white minority at all is racist. Should there be a 100% black cast? Should there be 100% hispanic, white, asian, indian? America is interracial. Deal.
well then you shouldn't be opening your mouth to an issue that is black then. what do you have to do with this then. it is not effecting your race so why are you saying something for.
This is america I can say things like that ok my race fought so I could be able to speak about anything and lost their lives in the process of that. So that I have the right to vote, go to college, get a good job, live where ever I would like to, etc my freedoms and if it wasn't for the black race other minorities would have had to deal with this mess on their own.
Show me where Whites ok proof that whites have to go to therapist to deal with racism or psychologist since they deal with
Reguardless, like i said no compromises were made with any of the disney stories so like it is said why make one here? anyway I as well as others would agree that the point is he should be black and for SmashBrodx you say raise one how stupid is that? where did the statement come from black men leaving single moms? wtf are you talking about i know come from a dual parent home as well as everyone i know so what are you talkng about?
first off I read the stuff about the story board Disney knew what they were doing because they put the work on hold in 2006 they could have made a black prince but of course they went a head and did what they wanted to on purpose. because you don't understand anything about the black relationship obviously and psychology.
The prince is not white, it has been said he's either hispanic or middle eastern; but I don't understand that logic that some people here have, that they think they're sticking up for anti-racism by saying Tiana should be with a black prince, but THAT is the racist thought. So the people sticking up for anti-racism, are saying that a black woman shoiuldn't be with a man of another race?? :/ Hypocritical much?
ok great with what you feel you are saying so where were you 10 years ago were you sticking up for this topic when Mulan had a all Asian cast or how about Aladdin or cinderella or Beauty and the Beast. Or how about Snow white? did you find concern in there were no black characters? I dont think so.That is not racist that is a fact that it should be a black prince. I didnt see you stick up for anti-racism or fighting this point on the other disney flicks. So why wouldnt we be angered? THINK!!!!
@SupamodelNoopy:....because its a CHILDRENS MOVIE, and therefore NOTHING to overreact about!
And yes Mulan had an all Asian cast, its about a CHINESE woman! DUH!
And Aladdin was middle eastern, there weren't any black OR white ppl in it! So what!?
Wht is something as stupid as race so important to ppl concerning the stupidest of things **ie the arguments about a children's movie** maybe its just due to all of the close minded retards on here....
All of those movies were set in medieval times. Princess and the Frog is different as it is set in MODERN America. That means 20th century. There weren't a lot of race-mixing 200-700 years ago.
And we wont stop expressing ourselves either duh!!! no one told you that you couldnt express yourself which shows you spoke of age shows you knowledge or should i say comprehensions skills are low. Nothing to do with shade it has to do with traits they made him less than black american. get the point. So when it comes to the black cartoon now a point needs to be made right??lol no point was made with mulan or beauty and the beast cinderella ,snow white aladdin, mermaid need i say more?
I just saw it as promoting interracial marriage; to take our black women, this kind movie shall not exist anymore. This is strategic black genocide to decrease the 12% of our black population through marriage.
Afrikanglobal 1 week ago
When Disney does a movie about a group of people that aren't white is the only time they do this interracial marriage thing and it's mostly with another white person. Pocahontas, Kida from Atlantica and shows from the Disney channel. Tangled came out and everyone in that movie was white. There was no interracial marriage. Heck, there weren't even a black or any other race in the background. Brave is coming in 2012 and everyone in that movie from the cast list to the trailer are white.
LighteningXT9 1 month ago
The prince is not white, the voice is acutally voiced by a Brazilian actor, and if you watch the movie he even says he is from a far away land, therefor not a white american man. Also the movie showes the "black man" in an extremely positive light!! they show him as a repsonsible, hard working father, and family man. So there is no way this movie is racist toward black people. i mean if racism is now defined as calling people what they are then what has this world come too?
bllor2 2 months ago
Actually, disney confirmed that naveen was not black. I'm actually happy about that cause it shows that blck women can have a good life with a man, who happens to not be black. She embraced him past his skin and loved him at his worst.
DaPrincess007 2 months ago
I don't think Naveen is white I think he's black but his skin is just more fair than Tiana's.
And I like what you said about kids not caring or thinking about that stuff when they see the movie. All they see is the princess, the talking animals, and listen to the songs. Pure minds.

I thought I was the princess and my husband was Naveen. i see no racism in the movie.

.it will not hurt the prince was black, disney made the prince hispanic to apeal to a wider audience. people getting upset with the prince, get upset that the black girl was a frog through most of the movie.first disney movie with a black girl and she mostly a frog.and i surpose to be happy to see that so what. put african kings and queens then ill be happy until then what ever disney !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's time for black women to shine and have all men see their beauty, whether they be black, red, yellow, orange or spotty!

2 what year should it be set in and 3 how to make him a prince I wanna show Disney how 2 do the right thing and get back on track but the princess & the frog was good though young black boys need a animated role model!

he's obviously NOT white. LOL.

the only fact about Naveen is that he's this really exotic prince from 'x' imaginary country.

ZulehkaHenao 1 year ago
He's NOT white, they made that official before the movie came out. :/ IM BLACK and I think NAVINNE IS AMAZING! There's nothing wrong with her prince. Black people need to shut up about how she should be in a relationship with a black man. OK, lets say that she had a black ROYALTY love intrest. Most likely he would be from Africa (straight african)...but i betcha black people would STILL complain bc he's not african AMERICAN and they would see it as sterotype...just shut up people. >:l
ytfjordan 1 year ago
He doesn't even look white, his skin is more tan/brown. I think he was meant to be more racially ambiguous. People need to just get over it. If they wanted him to be white, I don't think they would have given him tan skin, with brown hair & brown eyes. Disney normally makes their white people look as "white" as possible.

AMERICA.. stop the madness, enjoy life, LEARN how to not HATE anymore.

your hypothetical lacks one major point, there is no history of blacks enslaving and systematically discriminating against Chinese. What you don't seem to want to acknowledge is the history of and the continued character assassination of the black male in a WHITE supremacist (global) society and the role television and film has played, and IS playing in mentally conditioning our people. So it is the responsibility of those who DO see, to inform those who can't.

lol i love how people look wayy into thngs in disney movies! if they had made the prince black people would have been upset and said stuff like "'''óh, a black princess isnt good enough for a white prince!' or '"öhh black people should only marry within their race?'''lol it's horrible but you know its true that people will find negativity in anything because they WANT to find it there! remember that kids do not see these things, only oversensitive adults
kfetter16 1 year ago 2
Naveen isn't really white. Nor is he black. We don't know what Naveen is. He's Maldonian...a fake country. The purpose for Naveen was to be the yin to Tiana's yang, so to speak. His background and heritage isn't key, all you need to know is that he's spoiled and rich, trying to find something more in life. His home country is more of a prop if anything. Tiana's background, however, is important given the time, place, and dream she has.
This story is about dreams and acceptance. Not stereotypes

A prince can be black, but they wanted this one to be freakin INTERRACIAL! WOO! INTERRACIAL MARRIAGE/DATING! go princess and the frog! think of all the other disney movies. mulan had an asian prince.... aladdin had a middle eastern princess.... i mean c'mon, we needed to mix it up
TENSHl 1 year ago 2
well said. If anything this movie promotes interracial bonds. I think Disney has done a great thing here. There shouldn't be an "all black" anything, or an "all white" anything. There are no race connotations. People miss the whole message by focusing on the negative(or alleged negative).
TresUp 1 year ago 4
@TresUp 'There shouldn't be an all black or all white anything'.... Come on. You're being insincere. You watched shows like Friends, The Hills, Gilmore Girls, The Sopranos, How I Met Your Mother because these are/were white shows. Yeah they may have had a Black person as a 'guest' star but they are white shows. Look. WHY IS IT ALL THE OTHER PRINCESSES GOT SUITORS OF THE SAME RACE? Huh? But Tiana didn't? And don't give me no pretend MLK answer. WHY?
blackclassics 1 year ago
@blackclassics Just because there are already established "race dominate" sitcoms and movies doesn't make it right. Maybe she didn't get a suitor of the same race because they were actually trying to discriminate race in their plots. This move shows that any girl can be a princess, not just a white girl. and that her prince can be any male, not just a white one... But when u focus on the negative, as u are doing, you won't see past your own prejudices.
TresUp 1 year ago
@TresUp Okay TresUp. Alot of people use the increasingly boring and stale statement, 'We're all one, so race shouldn't matter.' Well TresUp if race doesn't matter why, why, why, did EVERY other princess get a SAME race suitor? What's WRONG with Black woman and a Black man wrapped in each other's arms? What's wrong with it? It's all universal right? Well why can't Black men and women end up with each other?
blackclassics 1 year ago
@blackclassics No race should not matter. The reason is sounds "boring and stale" is because people like u don't believe in it. If you closed your eyes and listened to the movie without seeing any of the characters, would u be upset about their colors? Look past race, seriously. Instead of looking for black men and women to end up with each other how bout seeing it as a man and a women together who just so happen to be black. (or hispanic, white, asian, etc.) You can look past color if u choose.
TresUp 1 year ago
@TresUp TresUp this is the last time I'm going to respond to you because you depress me. One of the beautiful things the Creator gave us humans was SIGHT. Here we are all these colors but insane people don't want us to see it. WHY CAN'T YOU SEE MY COLOR? What's this terminology 'see past it'? If you acknowledge my humanity then you appreciate all of me. Including my color. It's part of me. Ain't nothing to see past. It's part of the beautiful package.
blackclassics 1 year ago
@blackclassics well said... and by embracing your color we should embrace all colors together. Color is nothing but a pigment adaptation to climate. It is not a determining factor to who we should end up with. No group, color, race, ethnicity is entitled to anything but life. So long as race fuels our persuasions, racism rules our lives. Enjoy your color(s). All of them, together.
TresUp 1 year ago
@TresUp Are you saying EVERY other group is entitled to a story where the male and female of an ethnic group can dig each other but when it comes to Black people we are not allowed the same right? That somehow telling the story of a Black man and Black woman ISN'T universal? That Black people are only universal when we are attached to an OTHER? Bullshit. Black men and Black women have been in each other's arms for thousands of years. So what's the problem NOW?
blackclassics 1 year ago
@TresUp Even though their moves have been all white. Lol.
Yezzur011 1 month ago
According to Disney they didn't give him a race. Some people might say he's white, black or hispanic, but really there's no right answer. They gave him a dark tone of skin, but not as dark as Tiana. His voice actor is from Brazil (that is the accent you hear). His kingdom of "Maldonia" is fictional, there is no such country.
I think it's a great thing. I totally agree with what you've said in this video. Why do we need someone to give us an ethnic catagory for him? Why should it matter?
TigersEyexo 1 year ago

We all know that "see you later" in Spanish is "hasta luego".

blakkbandit22 2 years ago
It understandble why they didnt have a black prince, and its a good thing too.
First look at the princes personality:
He is lazy, spoiled, has no regards for his WHITE butler, wants to marry a white women for her money, He is a player, and is easily dumbfounded.
Now add a BLACK mans face to it.
It is more controversal to have a black prince, becasue he will be betrayed as a lazy, tapdancin, dumb black man who is later betrayed by the white butler, by turning him into a frog.

@xxhopee Naveen isn't Spanish. The language he speaks in the movie isn't Spanish, it's complete gibberish. He's just from a made up country. But yeah, I agree that it's really nice they put in a mixed race couple in a Disney movie.

they called it maldonia because they couldnt choose between malta and macedonia so they mixed the countries together and made maldonia

That's such a common thing with good black men (to b contd)
blakkbandit22 2 years ago
Under normal conditions, I would say it's no big deal. If Hollywood was reasonable about portraying black men, black women and relationships between them, I would have no problem. Yes' it's a cartoon, but why didn't they make it a white girl falling for a black prince ? You think Disney, a billion dollar company has no idea what it's putting out there ?

Cancerian1976 2 years ago
you name it, they do it ... and that's just off the top of my head.

Cancerian1976 2 years ago
but that takes away from their humanity.
Cancerian1976 2 years ago
certainly mimic; he went about the business of cultural imperialism through the making and marketing of figures that seem harmless but are in fact harmful.

Cancerian1976 2 years ago
shows, films -- you name it, they've done it -- has introduced Princess Tiana: a young, beautiful girl who goes on an adventure through the Louisiana bayou. Like many Disney movies, there's a prince, a father figure, a character with unconventional beauty and mystical fantasies. And finally, there's a princess who looks like me. I think I'm supposed to be grateful, but in the words of Rhett Butler, "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn."

Why The Princess and the Frog is no big deal
Published 12.15.09By Nsenga Burton.I think I've had enough of the hoopla surrounding the new Disney animated film The Princess and the Frog.
But before I opine further, here's a little background: For the first time in the company's history, Disney has finally introduced a black princess as the lead in one of its features. The company that has given us some of the most iconic characters (Mickey Mouse), theme parks, television

yeah well actually unless you are an expert in the game and you can prove other wise by stated facts um I guess that makes you wrong so you would have to do a whole lot of research time to make sure that your opinions not facts by the way are incorrect to make sure they are wrong. So believe you me I am not wrong. By the way no such things as mixed how can someone be mixed please explain that through science and genetics if you can't do so how do you call someone mixed that is just a term

its not like Naveen is specificity white his skin tone golden, His name is Sanskrit, and he is voiced by a Brazilian (Brazilians being for the most part a mixed raced people) he is ethnically ambiguous so we should in general stop debating over the significance of his race plus now we even have a Latino Disney character.

all this talk about their not being a black prince is foolish because little boys are going to look else ware for role models anyway. Do you ever see boys dreaming of being prince charming from Cinderella ?, and with the presence of Obama I doubt there is going to be a shortage of who African American boys can look up to.
Thenakedcheese 2 years ago
Short of Aladdin since when has a Disney princess movie been about the guy? This movie will result in a Disney market that is going to focus on girls as is the case with almost every Disney fairy tail. The Important thing is that now little African American girls have the option of an iconic princess Barbie that they can relate to as some form of a role model. Finally girls from infancy can feel that they do not have to be blonde and blue eyed to be pretty or successful
Thenakedcheese 2 years ago
The prince was orriginally supposed to be brazillian. Most people dont really mind. Im black myself and i really dont mind what their race is. It really offends me that people would say that its awkward for people who are of two different races. It only matters what they're like on the inside. And please go see the movie. It would help so much more. He's not white so get that straight first. No younger people (16 and under) are going to mind. Expressing differnet races is great.

i completely agree :) i'm glad that you made this video expressing what it's really about. The movie is really for the kids and I've been telling people that kids aren't worried about the races of the characters. The kids' only concern is that they can get a laugh from the video. lol :D

He's Middle Eastern. Well his country is fictional but the name is East Indian and he's supposed to be from Indian/Pakistan/Afghanistan area. Dont you think it's a bit hypocritical for you to 1)complain based on assumptions on a movie you haven't even seen 2)have a problem with Tiara's interracial dating but not the white girls? so black men can date white women but white men cant date black women? you're racist
shalom1948hellyeah 2 years ago
why should someone support a movie that brings division within a race. That is like you standing up and listening to a con artist take your money and smiling after they do it does that sound very smart. I don't need to see a movie to know what it is about. Um first off lets not fake ok because I can pull a quote from a black woman who spoke about the movie which you haven't read to much about now have you and she talked about the opposite however it still promotes algamation within the black

good arguments (by the way im biracial B/W) but thay made that movie with chinese it's called mulan (1 and2 ) and mulan falls in love with a chinese guy. but the problem is that nobody is falling in love with the black man in any of the movies. belive me small girls who watches these movies in a sence fall in love with the same person as the lead. and they cant even emagine falling in love with a black guy the same way they could a white guy. cuss they havn't seen the black features apriciated.

your a smart guy.
No matter what disney did someone would be pissed off and make a scene about it. It is a disney movie, for kids, I think the majority of ppl really don't care wut their ethnicity is. The prince Naveen isn't even caucasian he's brown (idk if he's indian or a latino or whatever)
but yea really... who bloody cares
BucketDwarf 2 years ago 2
From the Preview, I thought the Prince was Hispanic. But they don't really show him much. I haven't seen the movie, but I seems the "Black Princess" is a frog the majority of the movie. So I would think that would be a bigger issue. First black princess, but wait, she's a frog. Finally, you can look at this in a hundred different angles. What about kids with biracial parents? Kids will not care about this. Just Adults who are already "brainwashed" into thinking too much into things.
richardandrewsjr 2 years ago
really you sure because I read an article what biracial children who are babies think about parents. matter a fact funny thing read an article right talked about how this young child asked his mother white woman why she was darker then the child so believe you me it matters.
Cancerian1976 2 years ago
Well, talking from experience, I am a biracial child, and NEVER THOUGHT of race until High School. I really do think about it more now, and relieze it, because people have to "categorize" you into a race. However, there is always a exception to the rule, so you could be right also. I guess it just depends on where the child is born. I guess I was fortunate to have a lot of biracial kids to grow up with, hence we didn't care about race, cause it didn't matter.
richardandrewsjr 2 years ago
well it has nothing to do with being right the article spoke about a child this not something that I came up with. Second when it comes to bi-racial children their have been studies on their perception why because each is different and relates to race in a different way. Some well in the cases of lets a black man and white woman classify themselves a black so I have read an article even about that a young woman who spoke about only dating black men because they can relate to her because
Cancerian1976 2 years ago
she classify herself as black.
Cancerian1976 2 years ago
latinos weren't right.

How anime fans argue the ethnicity of dark skinned japanese anime charas.

wtf are u talkin about ??,, all i said was the prince looked HISPANIC (Latino ) to me,, he didnt look white at all,, and u write a whole book,, first off the movie is not racist,, the bad guy jafar in aladin was arab,, ther is which's in allmost all disney movies who are white, so u think the black doctor is being racial cuz he the enemy of the movie ??, haha,, ur dumb dude.. and what about the hispanic prince, are u saying a hispanic aint good enough to be a prince or wha ???

you acting as if it is better interracial dating is interracial dating what part don't you get. you don't get it do you !!!!! it is tearing the black relationship a part it is like you are saying because the character looks Hispanic it isn't so bad instead of saying hey look at what Interracial Dating is doing to the BLACK RACE and RELATIONSHIP.

sanitay25 2 years ago
I agree with you one hundred percent! I saw this film the day it came out, and there's nothing racist about it, try as some might to find "unfortunate implications" in such things as Naveen's olive skin tone... Which, really, I mean people act like NO ONE on the whole planet is any other color besides ebony or ivory... most people don't fall into one or the other camp, so hating on the Creole prince is just hateful, honestly.
FuzzyGhekko 2 years ago
the prince in this movie is not white by any means
uei08 2 years ago
okay. prince naveen is not pale-skinned at all. He looks Mediterranean to me. In fact, he is the prince of a fictional place called maldonia, which is supposed to be located in the meditteranean, meaning he is of mixed races. His skin is chocolate brown and he has a Spanish accent. I think this shows the beauty of interracial relationships.

Why is there controversy over the prince and the witch doctor and everything else?
twilightguardian 2 years ago
Welcome to the internet! But seriously, this movie is really for kids and the funny thing is that kids are so innocent until they get exposed to 'black and white' issues so they only get one point of view and nothing more. I don't see anything wrong with mixing both cultures in the movie. I think thats the direction we should've been heading into from the start. Maybe in the next 500 years we'll all be brown so we can all just move the heck on but sadly I still witness this.

*Workshop Definition* White Supremacy is an
historically based, institutionally perpetuated system of exploitation and
oppression of continents, nations, and peoples of color by white peoples and nations of the European continent, for the purpose of maintaining and
defending a system of wealth, power, and privilege. I. What does it mean to say it is a system? The most common mistake people make when they talk about racism is
to think it is a collection of prejudices and
Cancerian1976 2 years ago
individual acts of
discrimination. They do not see that it is a system, a web of
interlocking, reinforcing institutions: economic, military, legal,
educational, religious, and cultural. As a system, racism affects every
aspect of life in a country. By not seeing that racism is systemic (part of a system), people
often personalize or individualize racist acts. For example, they will
reduce racist police behavior to "a few bad apples" who need to be
removed, rather than seeing it exists
Cancerian1976 2 years ago
in police departments all over the
country and is basic to the society. This mistake has real consequences:
refusing to see police brutality as part of a system, and that the system
needs to be changed, means that the brutality will continue.
how, how, how seeing a definition of racism please, please, please explain logically how racism can be a comment.
ist is a person you person can't be a comment, a system can't be a comment or remark please explain how that can be ignorance

Deal.

first off I read the stuff about the story board Disney knew what they were doing because they put the work on hold in 2006 they could have made a black prince but of course they went a head and did what they wanted to on purpose. because you don't understand anything about the black relationship obviously and psychology.
