  • there are only white people in it.... well done, diversity.

  • Canada is boring.

  • I love this song. My Canadian neighbours, greetings from New York! Your country rocks!

  • @doomlevel27: Look what you've done!! That Shatner's hit the fan now!!!!! LOL XD I think the "I Am Canadian" Rant commercial was one of the most creative and innovative ideas because rather than just selling a product, it was also selling an idea, what it means to be truly Canadian, eh?! Now take off, eh?! I don't wanna see you Hosers around here anymore! Lol I love Bob & Doug McKenzie on SCTV. What a hilarious sketch that was.

  • who says " the one we call canadian"

  • @893160007

    That's William Shatner

  • dang, cant we get a better rez and sound for this?

  • Yay...I forgot about this commercial. I was trying to find examples of post Joe Molson's commercials for a class I'm taking and found this one. :D I think my sense of national pride was amplified by the I Am Canadian campaign. I wish it was still around. ah well. Thank you for posting this. :D

as to the whole Elricck thing all I want to say in response to that is: Don't feed the trolls. :D

  • I first heard this song at a rodeo a few years ago and it made me cry...I just adore it. ♥

  • why are American's such haters! really what do they have to be proud of? the war, their economy? homeless people? healthcare? all the gangs.? drugs? their shitty homeland security ?, that they're the fattest country in the world?

  • @facecreations

    Cuz they've never invented anything.

  • Ok, i removed aboot 1/2 of my comments, so don't accuse me of spamming your little beaver hour party. Anyone who wants to say anything to me please leave a comment on my profile and i'll get right back to you. Bye. Have a nice day. ;)

  • @Elricck I don't have anything mean to say, but know this: I don't even read the comments here. I posted this years and years ago because I just loved it and wanted to be able to see it whenever I wanted. I never thought that anybody else would think to watch it, so meh.

I guess the only thing you should think of when commenting here, is just don't be an idiot. Thanks.

  • and... what? you want a medal? fuck America.

  • Comment removed

  • @Elricck This is a beer commercial you fucking idiot.... if you have a problem with watching canadian pride then go to another page you fucking idiot..... this is on the WORLD WIDE WEB, not AMERICAN WEB.....I could swear your the same idiot that is on a different account that won't stop messaging me about "inferiority complexes" and canada having "no culture", either you are the same person or you're both retarded.... and just so you know, you don't own us, we control the amount of oil

  • @leafs3113 so make a Canadien website you moron. utube is American, why do assholes insist on posting canuk bs on here, get a canuk youtube and have a party there, asshole. BUT NOOO, gotta use the American website. Get a life.

  • I am Canadian!!!

  • This should be our new national anthem

  • @preciousCece if you lie down in a bed then you must expect the diseases it may contain; in this instance the "bed" is youtube. Sorry but life is unfair.

  • @Elricck and lastly, this video mentions nothing about america or slanders america in any way so how about you fuck off with your stupidity and your over-patriotic mind who thinks if it's not about america then it doesn't matter..... don't come here then

  • @Elricck One more thing, this American website was founded in California, but two of the founders were born in Germany and Taiwan. I suspect they might have an International view of the internet.

  • @preciousCece hi, the Carlin suggestion is very good and yes i have seen the one you talked about several times and i agree with what Carlin said, as a matter of fact i had already observed alot of it and can confirm it is most probably true -however i have also come to the stark realization that the countries of the world -all of them- really are just criminal organizations of one creed or another -ergo- gangs. Gangs lie, cheat, steal and kill. who died for the minerals that are in ur computer?

  • Good points @gturner38. Let's not forget WWII, too. The US stood back & watched while Europe was being overrun -- while Canada and others were fighting for freedom in Europe years before the US. The "land of the free" left the early fighting to others.

I know many (hopefully most) Americans do not share @Elricck's apparent disdain of Canada.

It`s too bad that the @Elricck's of the world abuse their hard-earned freedom by verbally abusing others. Such is the behaviour of a bully.

  • @NotesNut and let's not forget how the US rid itself of slavery a good 20 years before Canada did and how all the modern day iceholes go around posting insulting videos to America but can't comprehend why they are getting insulted. What goes around COMES AROUND. We own you and to be honest i wish it were not that way. Take a look at all the other USA bashing videos on YT, that's why i am here. And btw? your PODUNK is overrun and ruled by gangs. Good luck with that.

  • @Elricck actually, there was very minimal slavery in canada, and is barely even documented (which shows how little there was) and it was abolished in the early 1800's while america took until the mid 1800's to "abolish" slavery but wasn't fully abolished until later on in the century, as well there was an underground railroad to canada (as historians call it) which brought slaves secretly to canada to free them from slavery in the usa......

  • @leafs3113 you got alot to learn kid.

  • @Elricck I have a lot to learn? A) I'm not a kid, B) you're the one acting like a child, and C) you need to learn a bit more than I do because guessing by you're comments you have no idea what you're talking about

  • Comment removed

  • @Elricck your entire comment is bullshit so the entire thing......

  • Comment removed

  • @Elricck When I say I am canadian that means I am proud of the country I am from and proud to live here, I like america and lots of canadians do as well..... and you bring drug gangs into this?? and being connected can simply mean you get a couple grams of weed off of one of the gang members.... and where did you get this "fact" from cause I wouldn't mind checking it out, and the other shit couldn't be more wrong hahaha.... A)we're a country not a colony, B) There is more freedom here than

  • @Elricck in america and absolutely no surveillance but a real fact is that YOUR government passed a bill in 2006 so they can, without warrant, check your e-mail, all internet activity, tap your phones, and even check your mobile phone so how is that for corruption and surveillance????? and a fact is that there is racism, sexism, prejudice and corruption in every country but no where near the extent that it is in your country...... not once did I mention white robes or sandals hahahaha

  • Comment removed

  • @Elricck no one has ever said our shit doesn't stink but it's a fact it doesn't stink as bad as the US's....... and what authority is this that says the Canadians phones are tapped???? no one, on the other hand there is proof the american phones ARE tapped and it's there for the world to see

  • @leafs3113 Pay phones in the US aren't tapped idiot.

  • @Elricck wow, so all your personal payphones are tapped still you fucking idiot, and who says your payphones aren't tapped???? they are definitely............

  • Elricck does NOT represent the average American. He's probably just a right-wing teabagger asshole.

  • Comment removed

  • William Shatner? nice

  • i would rather have this as the national anthem..

  • They even added rugby into this commercial :D I AM CANADIAN!

  • @Elricck ok, we'll go get our "own website". america can get its own lumber and fresh water imports. good luck with that

  • Cetchy tune, but honestly... people would think that we never left the 40s. I think they could have modernized it a bit. And that dude at 0:38 really didn't need to be in this video.

  • @Elricck When did Youtube become a specifically American site? More importantly, how are a bunch of Canadians disrespecting America simply by proudly proclaiming that they are Canadian? As for protecting Canada militarily, Canada pays us back in kind. 154 Canadians have died in Afghanistan which is roughly 20% of the American total despite being 11% the size of the US population. They have certainly done their fair share given that they weren't actually attacked.

  • Comment removed

  • @Elricck I'm fully aware that some Canadian videos bash the US, just as some US videos spew hate towards Canada. If you want to criticize those videos, I suggesting doing it in the comments for them. This video has no more to with the US than a Lee Greenwood "God Bless the USA" video has to with Canada.

If you want to suggest I'm a traitor for acknowledging they aren't doing anything to us, fine. I served my country by enlisting the Air Force, which trumps bashing foreigners online.

  • Comment removed

  • @Elricck It doesn't make everyone who disagrees with me wrong, but the fact is that you accused me of being a traitor, and I'm only showing you that I actually have demonstrated loyalty to my country. Of course, I could just swear at people who disagree with me, which you seem good at, but that would suggest being American means having pen disdain for other's opinions.

And BTW, Boston may have the Cup, but their roster had 15 Canadians and only 3 Americans, so yeah, they do rule hockey.

  • @Elricck

"I'm just fkkin pissed off at those who insult our country when they themselves have probably never ever ventured south of East Moose Butt."

Who has insulted your country here? And do you think you retain your credibility when you're complaining about insults to your country while insulting ours? Really? I live in "East Moose Butt"? People insult Canada all the time. They're trolls. We have them too, unfortunately. Trolls don't typically reflect majority opinion.

  • @v3ntulus let me ask you something, of all the GD direct insults towards America on the Canadian videos, why are like.. NONE of you ever trying to stop them? Ok? it's a question, answer it if you would and enjoy your day. E.

  • @Elricck

I do try to stop them. While you're complaining about hate, you are the very one manufacturing more of it by trying to provoke. Understand that trolls are in every country. Understand that this is the Internet. Understand that people will say anything to get a rise out of you. Understand that you are playing right into their hands. Rather than generalize millions of people, why don't you act like an adult and ignore those comments and make positive ones?

  • @v3ntulus understand i am asking a question. If you dont care about how others represent your country then go to hell.

  • @Elricck and you clearly don't know much about canadian/usa history cause everything you have said is totally stupid and seems like a 14 year old kid that thinks he knows everything behind the keyboard

  • Comment removed

  • @Elricck that goes into your country and we know you rely on it, most canadians and americans are proud of the partnership between the closest allies in the entire world except a few over-patriotic ass-hole americans who give america a bad name for it like yourself......... and you also call canadians all ignorant assholes and that we can go suck it, seems like your the only one that's ignorant here

  • @leafs3113 I said fuck all the *ignorant assholes* you idiot, i didn't say fuck *everyone* -did you ever take any English comprehension classes? bcz u need to. Just don't make innuendo vs. our national character + we will do the same for you. Are we good now?

  • Comment removed

  • @Elricck Don't hate cause WE RULE HOCKEY!!!!

  • @gretzkyswoman you rule what? so boston is in canaduh too? ;)

  • I love our anthem but...if this became our national anthem...I will have NO complaints :P Still Love this commercial, I started singing this in my school and by lunch all my friends were singing as well :)

  • haha, i crank this on july 1st while the fireworks go on and my "slightly" drunk friends and i scream along with it every year...it's our tradition! :D

  • damnit im almost 20 n never tried molson im ashamed altho in my defence i dnt like beer n prefer liquor n cocktails

  • Canadians are badass! I love this country!

  • My dad has pictures of him log driving (log rolling) in the 50s. How many people can say their dad was a legit lumberjack? Dude's my hero.

  • Oh man after 8 years in the uk working over here.I amd coming HOME...YEAH!!!

    In just 2 weeks ....

  • @canadiantimberwolf1 Welcome home canuck ;) Spent 2 wks there in 08 and couldn't wait to get home. And I was born UK - go figure eh!

  • Molson Canadian puts so much pride into their commercials to show what us Canadians are really about :DD

  • I buy Molson just because of this add!

  • Does anyone else notice that there's only Caucasian people in this commercial? I'm of Chinese origin myself but I was born here and I'm proud to call myself Canadian. But in a lot of the Molson commercials, minorities like ourselves are pretty much completely ignored. Makes me sad :(

  • @GTL990 There's one exemption: I can't find it now, but the Molson commercial about not being bashful is one asian girl, one black guy, and one white guy. I take your point, though; I'm not white either, and I was starting to notice that watching through these. Though, I suppose once you leave Toronto / Vancouver you find a Canada that's not quite as blindingly multi-ethnic as the one I grew up with.

  • @novareaetem

If you leave any major Canadian city, you're either white or your Aboriginal 95% of the time. I was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Barring Aboriginals, most of the minorities are at Lakehead University. Even then, most are from Toronto and are just studying here. The bigger cities have a lot more appeal for new immigrants. I get amazed every time I go to Toronto or Ottawa. It's like a different country.

  • @GTL990 Totally agree - unfortunately I was grew up in a WASP County . I was 17 when I met a girl visiting from TO who was born in Shanghai (Her parents came back but she never did :( )I was 21 when I met my first black person. My cottage country hometown is getting a good mix now but as your friend replied some places are still pretty monochrome :) Come on everybody lets get out there and mix it all up eh!! This is every bodies land to enjoy. Peace Love & understanding

  • @GTL990

Watch the "Canadians Are Polite?" ad by Molson. Plenty of minorities there for you. But the greater point is do we really need to have someone from every race in every goddamn picture, poster, video, advertisement, etc? I don't really care about the racial makeup of the ad. Not having Chinese-Canadians represented here does not make Chinese-Canadians any less Canadian. The same goes for any other race. It's insecurity to complain that your race isn't represented in everything.

  • I got I'AM CANADIAN engraved in my grad ring.

  • @danodenbach1 fuckin' right!

  • @danodenbach1 cool, so eat shit.

  • Proud to be an American, and even prouder to be a North American with our Canadian brothers and sisters to the North! : D

    Thanks for posting.

  • @rclcryan Im with you on that Cheers!

  • I AM PROUD TO BE CANADIAN

  • Comment removed

  • @RDCEnergy you can be happy to be canadian, but I don`t understand why are you proud. may because you are born in canada?

Happy Canada Day, this song should be canadian anthem.

  • @StevenAtLiberty: You're right, Canadian beer is good. And you're living proof that we also have some really classy friends!

  • same here shadow

  • I remember all these commercials xD

  • i cant help but crank this song when i hear it.

  • canada is the shit

  • @roch102030 I don't want to deceive you, but your an asshole. It's a fact.

  • @TheFlightFreak why im i an asshole canada is the best

  • @TheFlightFreak im an asshole for liking my contry

  • @TheFlightFreak "the shit" means the best in teen vernacular

  • It's amazing how a beer commercial can make me feel so patrotic :]

  • i love this song! it should be our national anthem! i am 100% canadian!

  • GOLDDD BABY!!!

  • do's any one know were to buy this song

  • 72 FOREVER BABY

  • haha Paul Henderson's goal back in '72, how old is this commerical?

  • At 0:28, the hockey player is none other than Phil Esposito. That image has been shown countless times and it ranks up there with Henderson's goal in '72.

  • does anyone know who that hockey player is at 0:28 in the clip?

  • nice tune!

  • This is a Canada anthem

@Pika740 take that crappy thing out of here.

  • this isnt a canada anthem... this is THE canada anthem. if this was the national anthem i wouldnt be embarresed to sing it. but other then the anthem IM PROUD TO BE CANADIAN!!!!!!!

  • who is that hockey player at 0:28 ?

  • i have my flag on my backpack,it should be our anthem :D but we have a good one :D

  • I was sooo sad when Hockey Night in Canada sold off the theme song T-T That was practically our second National Anthem ^-^"

  • Yeah! Why can't we sing this at the Olympics instead? It's a great song and it IS better then what pepsi put out.

  • wow, I just want to go to CANADA

  • i am proud to sew a Canadian flag on my backpack

  • Much better than those stupid Pepsi songs. I'd rather sing this than those pieces of shit.

  • Which Pepsi song is this?

  • Eh Oh Canada Go.

  • Why am I being thumbed down? Someone asked what the pepsi song was and I answered them.

  • Damn proud to be Canadian :)

  • we just rock !!!!

    Cheers to all the canucks

  • Hells yeah! ^-^

  • My Name is Joe, And I AM CANADIAN

  • I know how much the tournament meant to Canada. I am just saying that there are a lot more events/people that identify Canada.

  • I am Canadian and proud to be Canadian. If some changes could be made to this commercial I would also include Trudeau, a person fighting at Vimy Ridge and carrying the Canadian Flag, the Blue Jays World Series Wins (It is the city that won but at the time the entire nation was behind it). Summit Series is part of Canada, Canada is not the Summit Series, so I do not know why there are so many clips of it, because there is much more to Canada than it.

  • Evidently you weren't aware of how much that tournament meant to Canada.

  • i agree with the world series suggestion, but i think it would conflict the Canadian spirit because it's an american sport

  • The Summit Series Epitomizes canada Overcoming Communism, which is probably why it's such a big thing, and one of the few things the Americans know about our history.

  • Yo Toaster strudel, when you refer to a british person you dont call them a british you call them a Briton because it is the proper demonym for a person of British ancestry, so dont start talking smack when you dont know shit...GO CANADA

  • "The company's bi national nature has caused several sources in both the U.S. and Canada to claim the company is now controlled by interests in the other country. In fact, the company is traded on stock exchanges in both countries, and control is equally shared between the Molson and Coors families."

  • HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!

  • I don't think Michael Ignatieff can sing this song (or make this claim) since he spent most of his adult life claiming he was either an American and/or Briton. Nothting against Britons or Americans,...but don't try to lead Canada when you've spent you're whole adult life trying to escape your Canadian past. It's not going to go well.

  • other way around, the Molson family owns the molson-coors brewing company, and they're still montrealers

  • And they own the best Canadian Hockey team now!

  • um no its made by a british immigrant that came to canada and brewed molson dumbass

  • wow, you have some major spelling problems. It's spelt Britain and its the country, if whoever you were talking about was from there he would be British not Briton. Wow...

  • Psst...don't comment on something unless you are 100% sure you are right. Briton is singular, while British is plural. You wouldn't say "I am a British" now would you? So... yeah you just embarrassed yourself, sorry.

  • canada is truly the best!

  • WILLIAM SHATNER!

  • I AM CANADIAN!!! WHOOOOOOO

  • Even though I'm American....I must admit....Molson is good.....Canadian beer is good....Canada is awesome!!!!!!!

  • @StevenAtLiberty Cheers

  • @StevenAtLiberty Your just one awesome American you know that? Thank you! :)

  • @StevenAtLiberty As an American I concur!

  • Its a beautiful thing...

  • I AM CANADIAN! <3

  • <3 <3

  • I love our country, Canada kicks ass!

  • always proud to be canadian :) <3

  • canada rapes all

  • very true ;)

  • Beeeer :)

    CANADA! :D

  • Actually, no, I am straight. These commercials are hilarious. Go Canada! It was just a small joke dude. Stop taking everything so personally....

  • Better have been joking!

Also, nationalism isn't really a good thing. People take it out of hand like how Hitler did, I think nationalism is more of a bad thing than a good thing, yet some
