  • An absolutely brilliant piece of improv. Paula handled this spontaneous audience participation like a master.

  • And one at a time we'll all go up and buy a Slim Jim! I love the way she says that!

  • wow that was sick!!

  • What a genuinely funny woman. I loved this special and I must have watched the entire special now a half-dozen times at least! One of the greatest standup performances on memory. Fantastic.

  • I want to purchase a DVD (or whatever) of the full hour long comedy special. Anybody have any help for my quest?

  • She is hilarious...

  • YES. YES. YES.

  • omg she is the master!

  • Laughing myself silly watching this on HBO right now .... lube rack ... "Maam bum everybody out with that story" .... Let's all of us go somewhere... 711 ... act like it's a complete coincidence..." Funny if all of us at Sunstar tried that.

  • I love the interaction with the audience. Remindes me of when Howie Mandel would do something similar. Goes to show you you can be funny without vulgarity..

  • I'll handle this! lol

  • This is one of her funniest routines, though it's not a "routine," is it? Out of all the comics today, she reigns supreme for me. So intelligent, such genius right off the cuff. No one compares to Paula P.!

  • @lynfendleyfoster I believe the "routines" you are speaking of are called "sketches". :) Just thought I'd let you know.

  • Great routine!

  • Molove Lobe!

  • Well done, very talented

  • I JUST watched this on TV. lol.

  • I work at 7-11 and I would love for something like that to happen! I think about that every day I go into work.

  • @undeadking13 - Wow I think she just described a flashmob waaay before its time... and now she's on Twitter too! She could make this happen anywhere, anytime! Send her your work address, lol

  • i love her speaking voice. very original

  • I loved this special back in the day! Thanx for posting it!!! Wish I knew were I could find more...

My favorite line is when she is talking about Pop Tarts, and she says, "its called a Pop Tart, not a Stick Your Hand In And Get It Tart!"

  • It is called playing off an audience, and she repeats what audience members say, as the rest of the audience cannot hear them.. moron...

  • You owe me a sense of intellegence that is obviously lacking.. but hey, no worries. My expections are not that high, dude.

  • @geomancor Those Two People In The Audience Go To All Of Her Stand Ups. Its All Planed Out.

  • The audience in the back probably can't hear what is said, so yeah, she does repeat.

  • I've been DYING to find clips from this special! THANK YOU Dan OLGB for posting this. Anyone know where I can find more. My favorite part was the end when she talks about her cats.

    Love her!

  • Paula is one of the best... I miss seeing her around... And Kara looks a lot like Princess Di...

  • Brilliant gal - love ya!

  • i remember this special. and a joke where she said ..dont u hate signs that say dont even think about parking here. she says im thinking about it call the cops ill tell them i was thinking of something else.. so corny but so funny

  • LMAO! Just the giggles I needed :)

  • Haha, Paula is highlarious. I downloaded her most recent HBO special thinger mcbob on iTunes, I wish I could get this somewhere too

  • The greatest stand-up routine ever.

  • Paula's comedy when she plays with an audence member is fantasic. Love her

  • This is my favorite comedy bit.

They used to show it on Comedy Central a lot... not to mention that documentry about Andy Kauffman.

  • "Kara--and I assume your last name is 'come and go as I damn well please' "

    LOL she is hilarious

  • First of all, she didn't repeat the whole phrase "tore her face open on a lube rack" about 3 doz times, lol. She did, however, use the "lube rack" phrase several times in the manner most brilliant comics do, that is... to weave it in and out of other things in a way that binds other bits together with a running gag. Of course, it takes a sense of humor to understand that, so there's your where your error occurred :P

  • I LOVE Paula! So underratted and damn funny!

  • You have to really enjoy what you do, as a comic, to be able to improvise THAT well.

You gotta love that about her!

  • thank you for putting this up... it used to be on my favorites a long time ago and it got deleted - this was one of my favorite bits by her - she is hilarious in person as well!

  • good stuff!!!
